  1. @ol'crickety I’ve got 3 maybe 4 of those lures and @Catt got the reel too.
  2. There was s not a lot of area to catch the wind on my boat, I’ll adjust the main motor depth to keep the stern from getting blown around. My trolling motor if offset to the left side, but you get used to it after awhile and I adjust without even realizing it. The coasting factor depends on the depth of the main motor. I ave a 45lb thrust with foot cable control, no spot lock. the boat is a 15ft modified V Polar Kraft, welded aluminum.
  3. Didn’t one of these guys get caught pouching deer after this?
  4. I’ve got a Polar Kraft, 15ft mod V with a 25 Yamaha-4 stroke. I really like this boat, it’s cheap to run, handles great, stable, two people can fish comfortably but, need to be aware of each other. It has a live well, but since I don’t keep my catches, or fish with live bait, it’s dry storage.
  5. I bought a telescopic bait caster and spinning rig that I keep in the truck…. Got them off Aliexpress, are they top quality…. Heck no, but they get me out there when I see a place to fish. I don’t worry too much about them, in the heat of the truck.
  6. Here in Florida the plastic baits take a beating with the heat. I still keep a few ribbon tails and a few finesse worms. I mostly use small crank baits, shallow type stuff and a few top water. I also change the mono out about mid summer, the heat is brutal.
  7. I knew a couple, lived on a sail boat, made a few transatlantic trips. Really in sailing and all that goes with it. They found a dog out in the Atlantic, no body anywhere. They haul the dog aboard and, it was so weak it couldn’t stand. They looked and also radioed and no response, they kept it. They had her 8-9 years when they told me the story.
  8. Hahaha @Glenn had to laugh. I haven’t even mounted the pedal to the floor…. I slide it around to where I want it. I didn’t know where I wanted it mounted….. that was 3 yrs ago.
  9. Texas rig shallow crank top water

    Congratulations @Mike L
  13. Judgement Day will come to us all….. wonder what their reason for that act will be. No just one I could think of. It’s a good thing I’m not allowed to hand down the sentences, they would be grim.
  14. Gotta pic of that color…..WOW.
  15. Because of my balance or the “not so as it used to balance” is why I wear an auto inflatable life jacket.
  16. “Match the hatch” or “Show them something different” Age old question….. Like how many licks does it take get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?, The world may never know. I usually try both, but I never know what to show them different. How different , just color, creature bait, different presentation??? Options are endless.
  17. I use it all the time, that and Okeechobee
  18. As a by-catch, it mostly crappies and gar, I avoid the gar.. they can trash a lure, and unhooking them can get sketchy. My buddy fishes for them, eats the back strap, uses the rest for his crab traps. He calls it country boy lobster.
  19. My condolences to his family and friends and thanks you for the movies and shows
  20. X9 for me too…. They are all strong enough, small enough, tough enough. I go for silence…… I know it’s a peeve with me, but when I hear WHRRRRRRRR! Going across the eyes, I don’t like it, That’s why I only have two rigs with braid….everything else mono.
  21. First I’ve got to get them to take my bait….. ether baitcasters or spinning rig, heck I’ll hand pull them in, f I have too..
  22. I totally forgot tubes, how could I have forgot that. I use Stupid tubes and jigs…. Various colors.
  23. For creature bait I like Berkeley Maxscent or Yum Christie creature. Pitching worm I like a bigger profile… Mann’s jelly worm, Texas rigged wit as little of weight as I can get away with.
  24. Hi neighbor, from Lake George Florida.
