Trolling Batteries
I’ve got two group 24 size, one for starting, the other is deep cycle for trolling. They are ever-start (I think), Walmart brand, had them three years now. Maintenance is important with any battery, don’t run them down too far, keep fluid levels up, keep the terminals clean.

My 2pc rod storage solution
Where there’s a will, There’s a way. Nice job, I’ve got to figure out some for my truck. My old one I put a gun rack in the back window, my truck now, the whole rear window goes down.

1973 crosby sled, old and crusty- built like a tank
@chainsawsql your boat looks like it has very good bone to start with. Are ya going to just fish it this season, figure out what ya want and where ya need it? Looks like a fun project.

What was or is your favorite baitcating reel?
I really like my carbon lite reels, reliable, smooth and user friendly. Not my most expensive reels, but I find myself grabbing them every time I go. I have two of them, ones and LE (limited edition) it likes lighter weight baits.

ambidextrous casting?
Nobody is safe around me if I try to cast left handed. The birds fly out of range, bears leave the area. The turtles and gators all sound and go deep. I’m right down dangerous.

Inline spinners for bass
When I was young and trout fishing, I would catch smallies on in-line spinners and be upset that it wasn’t a trout….how things change.

Need help with selecting lures/baits for largemouth/spotted bass in Eastern NC
@Rocky998….I think you’ve got a pretty good handle on it. Seems like you got the colors figured out. You can’t go wrong with green pumpkin, caught many a fish on that color. Okeechobee is one of my favorites, when I lived in Nc, works great here in Fl too. I agree with @FishTax and @Pat Brown , might need to work on presentation. How are you rigging it and what weight, how are ya working the bait?

Three pluses and three minuses
My little humble boat…. A 15/48… Polar Kraft with a 25 hp Yamaha, 4 stroke. A 45lb thrust, Motor Guide moves me stealthily along. The pluses….. Fuel consumption, it has a 6 gal portable and I carry a 2gal reserve. ( for all day) Stability….. it handles great and stable to walk around on. Paid for…. $1000.00 with trailer. Now it was a basket case, but it gave me a chance to put new wiring and everything in it. CONS NO STORAGE No rod locker Over all I really like my boat.

Boat bunk replacement
Saw a guy at the ramp….. he used plastic gutters over his bunk boards, don’t know the longevity of them. He said they were very slick.
