  1. My condolences
  2. @Ohioguy25has been doing some pondering, but got me thinking. I’ve have a real image swim bait, gold fish color, the detail is incredible. The action is a little extreme to be realistic. I’ve only caught fish in stained water, not muddy but stained. Used it in crystal clear water no bites, I could see them move outta the way to let my bait pass. Was to action to extreme? Was the detail off? But in stained water they couldn’t see the difference. On the same day I started catching them on a junebug curly tail, I’ve never seen a June bug colored worm. maybe we’ve been over thinking things
  3. I haven’t fished many crank baits, I made deal with myself to try more this year. It seems when I think it’s a strike, it’s weeds and when I think it’s weeds, the line starts going left or right. “Oh heck” it’s a bite. So now I just give a quick little hook set jerk. I’m more wrong than right, but until I get better, I’ll just keep trying.

  5. Hi from the Sunshine State of Florida
  6. Thanks @jrb772….. I always try and make a pass through the fishing section, to check on deals. Most Walmart’s have a clearance isle that has some fishing items once and while.

  19. I’ll wad one up quicker that a summons from an ex spouse. I wish I could help ya, but I just can’t skip a baitcaster, I try and try. I know the fundamentals, I tried different set ups, even tried a friends that told it was my reel. Well he had to re-spool when I was through. I’m sticking to skipping a spinning reel.
  20. I just saw them too. I have told myself I’m going to use more hard baits this year. So I’m stocking up on baits, these flat side caught my eye. I really never did much hard baits other than rattle traps.
  21. Hello neighbor
  22. My condolences and thoughts go out to you and everyone it has touched. I’m so sorry.
  23. I have a 15ft mod-V polar kraft….I have. 12-V 45lb motor guide, bow mount with foot steering, and I use a group-24 deep cycle. Had for a few years now and no problems. I’m on a lake and fish a couple rivers with current, but nothing outrageous.
  24. I’ve fished with eagles, osprey, beavers, gators, all kinds of critters… the only one I thought turned off the bite was otters. I mean nada, zilch, ka-put….. even the minnows hide. It’s like when everyone is talking about someone and they walk into the room…..it gets all quiet ….then they leave and they start talking again. That’s an otter. @Team9nine and @ol'crickety I’ve chase gulls here when the stripers are running. Running up to them and throwing rattle traps in the mix. It can get exciting when ya get a few boats, all chasing the birds.
