  1. One of my friends I used to fish with, ( he moved) would always say “show them something they haven’t seen” . He would be fishing creatures when they rest would be saying they’re catching on worm or flukes. …… we all still caught fish. I always like to try new baits, but will revert back to my “tried and true” to catch when when “the going get tough”.
  2. @airshot I use both on some of my stuff, non-ethanol and fuel stabilizers… the cost effectiveness in preventive maintenance goes along way. I put fuel shutoffs on my stuff too if it didn’t come with one. My log splitter get only run once or twice a year. I will drain it and run it out of fuel.
  3. I put ethanol and non-ethanol in separate jars, set it outside my shop, in just a few hours the ethanol fuel started clouding up. The humidity here in Florida was too much. I run non-ethanol in everything but my vehicles.
  4. I use a spinning rig when I fish around docks, MH/fast 6’6” Ugly Stick. I was using a, 6’ M/ fast, but it felt soft when trying to pull them out from around the structure. I felt I skipped the shorter rod better, and more accurate too.
  5. Merry Christmas @Glenn and thanks for all you do that makes us all want to “hang out” here. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year, be safe over the Holidays.
  6. @LonnieP….Congratulations, send pics
  7. Original package with paddle tails too. Drives me crazy when they get a deformed tail and they go round a round.
  8. This is what I store mine in on the boat.
  9. I leave my soft plastics in original packaging, I use Plano speed bags. Have two of them, one for worms and one for creatures and tubes. All extras I keep in totes. same as @Functional and @gimruis.
  10. @greentrout, My friend uses a zebco 33, he loves it for skipping. I’ve been thinking about the Zebco bullet, but heard they were pretty heavy.
  11. I’m with you @FishTax, my skipping a baitcaster is well….. I can’t skip my baitcasters. I like to skip soft plastic baits and weightless, wacky rig with a wire weed guard to try and keep from the pilings. Stupid rigged tubes too, with the least amount of weight that I can get away with. A spinning rig with braid , no leader.
  12. I have two presidents @Alex from GA, ones a size 30 and ones an XT size 35… 35 is kinda big, but I use it for my dock rig. I can hoss them away from the pilings, it’s over three years old. The other one is older that that, I haven’t had a bit of trouble from either of them. A good all around solid reels.
  13. Amen……Silence is bliss, or the symphony of nature. Ever notice how many different sounds and yet, they all belong with each other.
  14. Side effects are the bait monkey, and don’t take if you’re allergic to any of its ingredients. Don’t operate any motor vehicle until you find out what the effects are.
  15. Would love to do Milner's '32 Ford chopped-top Deuce coupe, loved that car since the first time I saw the movie.
  16. I live on the St. John’s , near Lake George, they sprayed a few years ago right in front of my house. Usually they spray, it dies down then come back, this time what ever they sprayed killed it and it never returned…. Pads, cattails and eel grass. “The powers to be”, claim the hurricanes took out the vegetation, but they had already been through. FWC has started a replant of the eel grass but aquatic wild has been eating the sprouts, I offered them to put their plots in front of my place and I would try to keep an eye on them. But they plant them on the Ocala forest side and they get destroyed. Que sera, sera

Hello from the Sunshine State of Florida
  18. I wanna catch a double digit, I think I know where was is at. I’ve had something peel out my drag and run in to the pads, gets in there and shake themselves loose twice. Want to go back and spend time and catch it. I want to get better with crank baits. I fish a lot of finesse and pitching( it works) but I want to expand. Plus when the strippers run during shrimp season I want to spend some time and catch a few of them in 2024. AND!!!… ABOVE ALL, I want everyone here to be having this same conversation at the end of 2024, all of us. So stay safe, be heathy and stay alive. ALL OF US!!
  19. I use stupid lures, the 3.7 tube and their jig heard d too. Lately the color has been magic craw or smoke purple.

Wow …..you went all out on that. hahaha
  21. @Choporoz, I didn’t know they have tournaments where you just measured and released them…..heard a lot of places were trying to go to that, never fished any tournaments, but it make sense in a kayak…. No live well. (I use mine for dry storage) Does everyone have to use the same kind of bump board, or just certain approved ones. I have some friends that pan fish all the time and they use them. Most of them have that ruler tape that they peel and stick on their boat some where. I not a big fan of stickers, they fade and you can’t read them after a while, then ya go through the pain of peeling them off. That’s funny haven’t heard that one. Still laughing …… I got to pick me up some of those to keep on the boat, for just an occasion like that. seems gator grip’s golden rule or Hawg trough are the most used.
  22. Hey everyone was thinking about getting a bump board, …. Got to checking on-line, wow some places are sure proud of their bump boards. Have seen them from $150.00 and down. I usually don’t measure my fish, just weight it, and chuck it back in. My question is……. Who has one….? Why’d ya chosen that one…? If you had to replace yours, would you buy the same one…? Thanks everyone
