Reel tool storage
Keep mine in a Tupperware kinda box with dividers. It’s a little bit bigger than a shoe box, and has two levels. I keep the oil, grease and tools in it.

Travel setup
I keep a telescopic baitcaster, with a spare spool to switch to BFS. It’s very cheap, got it from Ali express for $38.00. I was surprised how well it works.

Could You Make Do With Only One Rod...??
I could and did until I found Bass Resource site, until I found this site. I fished with one rod and retie everything, so I could go back to one rod.

Bass Hunting
It has changed the sport….. I was fishing up in one of the creeks that dump in the St Johns. Three young men were going by, two were up front, face down looking at the three screens they had up front. The other one was sitting in the back sit texting…… they didn’t even acknowledge me, not sure they even saw me. I’m sure they missed out on a lot more than seeing me. Although I’m pretty interesting and I did have a Dos Equis this afternoon.

New canoe coming
@ol'crickety Great story…. Love “old school values” Sounds like the canoe will serve you well. Did you get a storage shed yet? I don’t the accessibility to your property, but would a pre built shed from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Get it it big enough to put a couple of bunks in it later on.

Fatal boat crash - Lake Murray
It’s all sad, my condolences to everyone. Most accidents could’ve been avoided, it’s usually realized after, not before……it cost a life and affected those that have to live with it.

Life Jackets
I got a BPS auto/ manual vest, I wear it all the time….well at least while I’m in the boat. They are inexpensive compare to the hydrostatic models. I’ve worn my in lite rain and it hasn’t went off, has a window to see if it’s charged and ready. The rearm kits, if needed, aren’t that much ether. They are very comfortable, like @DennyB I forget I’m wearing it.

My Uncommon Bass Boat
Congratulations @RRocket Very nice, looks very user friendly. Could you add on to the fin instead of removing it, and fish standing up there? Would it be stable and easy to get on?

Zaldain and Electronic costs for elites
Thanks for the link. @JediAmoeba I never knew it was that crazy….. I mean WOW!…. Their electronics cost more than my boat, trailer, trolling motor and my $99.00, 10 year old hummingbird. Plus it was used when I got it, I remember getting a pan of ice water and putting the transducer in it so my buddies and I could watch the temperature drop on the screen. (easily amused I guess) I wonder how much of nature and the beauty of fishing they miss focused on those screens.

Best Budget Spinner Bait
Walmart, $1.00, get an array of colors, and blades. They have buzz baits too. At $1.00 I don’t cry too bad if I lose one. I tweak some of them, change, or add beads, blades, I bought a few extra for parts. I think they are a decent, budget minded way to break into the spinner and buzz bait part of fishing.

Favorite crankbait around light/moderate weeds
I switch to a different bait, before I fight to many weeds, shallow crank or a wakebait. I know I probably miss out on of fish, but I imagine them hiding and waiting to ambush the bait from below. Then I don’t have to clean off the lure every cast.
