  1. I would fish it around wood or rip rap to start.
  2. I predict I will catch a bass this year that is between 1 and 10 lbs. It will come out of either a creek, river, pond, or lake. I will be fishing with either a topwater, bottom contact bait or a bait moving through the water column. Finally, this bass will be caught sometime in 2024.
  3. I've fished when the air temp is in the mid to upper 20's, as long as my guides aren't freezing. There's no way I'm going out there when it is 15 outside.
  4. Just me, myself, and I. Although I do try to siphon off as much knowledge as possible from this website, I realize that no two bodies of water are the same so my results may vary.
  5. Sorry for your loss. May he RIP.
  6. Sometimes it doesn't matter where you cast as long as you're using that one specific bait, and sometimes the bait doesn't matter as long as you can place it near a certain piece of cover or structure where the bass are hiding.
  7. I'd have a lipless crankbait in there somewhere.
  8. I'll fish them sometimes depending on the cover that is out in front of me. Most of the time I will start with some type of bottom contact bait to get an idea of what is out there under the surface of the water.
  9. When I had mine a few years back I drank the prep the night before but it didn't work completely. They scheduled another appointment and told me that I would need to drink two days worth of the prep. I told the doctor's office to come up with another plan.
  10. I got mine yesterday.
  11. You might contact some auctioneers and see what they say. There are a lot of collectors that visit auctions looking for antique or discontinued hard lures.
  12. Weather people are expecting us to get 3 to 4 days of on and off rain. They are saying we could have freezing rain and ice late tonight and into Monday until the weather warms up enough to have the moisture turn completely to rain. I went to work this morning to get my laptop so I could work from home tomorrow. Ain't no way I'm driving to work with these crazy drivers.
  13. I've been spooling my rigs for years. Besides BPS I don't think there is any shop around here that will do it.
  14. A 6'6" m/f St. Croix Premier rod with a Pflueger 6735 President spooled with 8# Big Game. The bait was a toss up between a weightless 4" Yum Dinger, or a weightless Zoom Finesse Worm.
  15. I just watched the Krej YouTube video from Berkley. So this bait is designed to sink back down to the suspended bass tail first after you give it a jerk or a twitch with the rod? For years I have heard that you want a slow-sinking jerkbait to fall head first to the bass not tail first. I'm probably missing something here.
  16. We used to fish with a 3" or 4" fluke, I can't remember the size. It was fished on a 1/16 or 1/8 round jighead. Cast it out from the bank let it sink to the bottom and start working it back.
  17. I use 1/16 Rooster Tails to go after panfish, but I'll switch up to the 1/4 size if the bass are interested in the bait. I also have some Mepps and Blue Fox inlines, but the fish seem to like the Rooster Tails.
  18. Welcome to the forums.
  19. We've only had dustings so far. The total is maybe 4 to 5 inches. The real problem has been the temps and the wind chills being below 0 for extended periods,
  20. With a 1/4 weight, I would use an M or MH. Especially if you are going to be fishing it around heavy cover.
  21. I think it's more about the person holding the rod than the rod itself.
  22. I think the muskies will love it.
  23. Wow! Thanks for sharing that history.
