I don't think I would leap onto FC, with the 33's I would stick with a softer line.. Myself...

St. John's from Greencove Springs to George's lake, 10 pd and over on large golden shiners... Plenty of smaller fish on artificial. Also Rodman Is a pretty hot lake still, no surprise there, again golden shiners are the bait for the female hawgs 10 & over, always a chance with unreal bait, but not as likely....

Talk to the guys @ ALFC, in Evansville, tell them about the tournament and the wounded warrior, they could probably tell you better than me.. I have not fished in that area.

Cranks and rattles, try Powell diesel crankbait rod @ 60$ it's a 7' glass rod.. With Eva grips at around 3.2 oz.... At TW... They also have graphite sticks as well in the diesel rods... Plus they are a black and not a ugly yellow... Idk which is worse, a yellow rod or white rod, lol!

I use Yo, and Pline CX,CXX.. . But, I have used braid, FC,at times, I would say, maybe try it and just see firsthand. Then you can argue you have used it and don't care for it much like me, if that's the case for you.

I hated my Sol... Most inconsistent reel I ever owned.... I like my 50&51's real well..

It's a great choice, it's very strong, very abrasion tough, I use #8 to #20 for many things... Even spinning in #4 to 6 is great... Give it a try...

Try blackwater cedar top/ props outta Florida... Best topwater bait I ever used... Custom baits! But worth every penny about the price of a LC bait... But WAY better....

Humm, Fl. Strain are not aggressive? Well, I wonder where that comes from?.. Those fish most assuredly, are very aggressive, I have been a very amused topwater fisher when 5 to 8 pd Fl. Strain as in the State of Florida, LMB...strike my rapalas, or dual prop cedar baits... Performing spectacular, even amazing airborne feats... But, yea... Word is they are not aggressive. That's BS! I don't know where this comes from. But it's far from true...

Truthfully, in almost all cases, I really think they are one in the same, there are cases as in high pressure systems/ aka bluebird days where fish are affected and turn off and typically relate closely to various types of cover, both hard and soft depending on time of year... That's when I believe that reaction is really prominent, you have to put it in their face, and sometimes get bit...small baits, but also bigger jigs/ pigs.. It's both or not... Fish gotta eat, and that's really the bottom line....uv affects prey species driving them for cover as well.. Whole Books have been wrote on the subject. There are best times to fish, and really tough times to fish... I fish when it's more favorable to me, based on over 3 decades... I don't have to fish those tough days because, I am not a tournament fisher anymore and haven't for years... Plus I just don't like the springtime high pressure affect... You can get bit, but you're going to struggle and you still are Likely to 0 out. That's my experience with LMB ..... You're results may vary.....consider the Pressure and pay attention to it record you're results and you will see a common denominator

Yea... Nice wet golf play, I think he finished 7 Over? Thereby a early tournament for him. I give him kudos for showing and playing a couple days.. The back problems are very limiting and I believe it is showing... Calling for isolated T-storms Sat. Too... Plenty of great play going on though....

No I am not, simply put... If you have the line now, I would try it! I mean it may be that it is a good line for you. I crank-bait with # 8 Yo... Is you're rig spinning? I am not familiar with that equipment list.. But for BC... It should work... Spinning? It's to large IMO , I have tried about every line made with a few exceptions, ultimately only you can say. Give it a whirl... See if you like it..

Yea, you either going to do a proper clean with Mike @ DVT or.... Just buy a new reel at the price, if you just buy a new reel, then you might attempt it? But after a swim.... I never, ever truly restored one, I can fix any Aircraft on Earth... But as far as spinning? I leave that to those experts, can't know everything.....

I got a buddy does, it never broke or hurt the spool, throwing 50 on a CH 50E... I wouldn't do that with mono, or copoly though....

Weightless for the awesome action, but there is almost no Wrong Way to fish it.... Jig head, trig/tungsten slip, under spins , they are a inexspensive plastic as well... I picked up a couple bags, a couple days ago for less than $3 a bag....

Based on the Fact I lived there for a decade, I trig 7" ribbon tailed worms, ran traps on weed edges, large Rapala balsa topwater minnow baits, larger dual prop cedar topwaters, and ran Bagley balsa B cranks on the edges of pads... However, there are certainly other baits as well, but those are my absolute most productive baits as well as my confidence baits..... Joining the bass fishing club would be ideal as well...
