  1. i love a red boat
  2. i’ve read about this “stitching” years ago, interesting.
  3. i remember those days as a kid. we would catch small grasshoppers and june bugs, whatever we could find. some of those fish were so little they would just steal our bait, but every now and then you’d snag one.
  4. boy am i ever disappointed, i clicked on here expecting to see a fishing chicken ?
  5. hang in there brother. we’re gonna keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
  6. incentive is the key here, plus, fishing is involved. could be a win-win for everybody....except the bass ?
  7. rapidly falling water level is the devil
  8. Kerr Scott Reservoir in N Wilkesboro
  9. my home lake is high and muddy thanks to Michael’s heavy rainfall last week. i went out Tuesday and caught 28 spots on texas rigged lizards and worms by fishing mostly secondary points and a few docks. some of those points had been lacking for much of the summer. certain points yielded multiple fish. i just love finding those “sweet spots” on a point (pun intended)
  10. me and my cousin are going tomorrow, almost the same exact conditions. gonna tie on a white ice fluke jr for the docks and lay downs.....and of course a texas rig....and a war eagle spot remover. decisions decisions.
  11. almost the same conditions here except for the 30 degree lows. i went yesterday and found high, stained water around 73 swt (down from 78 last week). caught them shallow and deep, most were holding close to docks.
  12. i fish alot of docks and brush piles in that 25’ zone unless there is a distinct thermocline that would dictate otherwise
  13. indeed, thanks for sharing his story
  14. here we go again. gonna get a bunch of rain, but this one has the potential to be more of a wind machine for points inward than Florence was, and a fast mover. looks like the eastern Carolinas will get one more gut punch from the tropics, right on the heels of catastrophic flooding from Florence.
  15. all depends on the wind. it shouldn’t be bad this weekend, gonna cool off a bunch. got some heavy rain coming in Wednesday and Thursday. the weekend can be tough on Norman. i usually put in at first light and fish til the cruisers and wake boarders show up. deeper docks, rocks, and secondary points have been producing for me, but nothing big. good luck
