im not really one for bringing back dead threads but this past weekend i had 12 blowups and caught 10 fish so i guess my hookup ratio is pretty d**n good so far this year 83% actually

one thing i didnt see anyone mention is taking it out as a line of credit up here you can do that fairly easily and the interest rate from the bank is around 2-3% instead of the 4-5% from a dealership

apparently all the reading of the forums does pay off, now to just get electronics

okay im really new to the whole thermocline business and i don't mean to hijack this thread, but just let me see if i understand this. The thermocline is basically a level in the water where below it the oxygen level is too low for the fish to be happy and it's not unlikely that they may be near this line in the warmer months because it it likely the cooler water. from what @Team9nine is saying is if the thermocline is at a certian level example being 15' then look for structure or cover around 15' and there should be some active fish there. but they may be anywhere in that 15' range. Is this anywhere close to right, or am i out in left field?

personally i think that's a ton of boats for a lake that size i'm surprised it wasn't limited to 20 my home lake is 360 and i couldn't imagine having 35 boats on the lake all fishing

i am very lucky she will buy me fishing stuff, supports me fishing, just loves that i'm so passionate about it and will come out on the water with me some days too

So I went up to the family cottage this past weekend of course with the intent of fishing as much as possible. so I rig up some rods Friday night when I get there, setting up for a day of cranking and jig fishing maybe skipping docks too. Saturday was a very frustrating, I spent 8 hours on the water and only caught 5 fish the biggest on a 1/2oz jig with a zoom chunk, the conditions were blue bird skies basically a completely post frontal day and the only way I could catch fish was to slow down, ned rig, jig, ribbon tail worm but of course I didn't do that I threw deep diving cranks most of the day. I was a little disappointed to say the least but Sunday made up for that, Sunday i get on the water at 8am for a couple hours before I have to leave. I decide to lock a frog in my hand and cover pad beds. my frog of choice was a black spro popping frog now I wasn't sure this was the right colour but I stuck with it. about 15 minutes into frogging my first pad bed I knew it was the right colour. I get a blowup from a nice 3lb fish the frog stuck in her mouth from there on I covered water with the frog and landed 9 more fish in the next hour and a half, which built a ton of confidence in a frog and made my weekend worth it. I realized on the way home that I was being too stubborn on Saturday throwing what I wanted and not what they wanted to eat, I need to be a little more aware of this on the water and not run around too much. overall I'm really looking forward to getting back up there

not a bad idea but it depends on what the others fishing there are targeting. depending on the swimbait your retrieve can vary a soft plastic swimbait like a hudd can basically be slow rolled throwing up from deep to shallow and across points are a good idea. basically lock it in your hand and throw it all day

vmc and trokars are in my box currently i like them but they do rip some baits up pretty well i've been using wacky rig o-rings on the top of my beavers lately and it has been saving me a ton of baits

honestly i dont see a place for it, yes it displaces water but the point is for the blade to vibrate and i dont see that happening with the ball

i would go pick it up and find somewhere else, he may be polite but it shouldn't take a month to fix a tm

musky and bass glides are different if you want a glide for bass i would start with the river 2 sea s waver it comes in multiple sizes like the 120 (4 3/4"), the 168 (6 3/4") and the 200 (8")

looks good bud im glad you found a use for it i had a little package from japan show up while i was away on holidays found those steez boxes on plat filled it with some baits so you would have a little size to compare it too
