  1. I used green line forever, but switched to clear when fluoro came out. Now I buy clear CXX as well... for the gain in above-water visibility.
  2. Did the Spotsticker brand buy sob/mini-me? Was just looking at them on TW. I remember them from 20yrs ago or so...just never bought one.
  3. Having a stockpile of tackle keeps me from buying more tackle 🤷‍♂️
  4. I know a guy that swears by them. As ll hand poured.
  5. Yep. Half my cart on Ali-x is 'unavailable'. I think they will reappear when a tariff deal is made.
  6. Visited Ali-X for the first time in months. The $129 Curado BFS I had in my cart is now $239 🫣
  7. I kind of lost sight of my motives for buying fluoro. At first, it was because it was invisible. Then it was because it sank and cuts through the water better. Now I find myself using my trusty Pline CXX mostly.
  8. Yeah...I said ISG is my favorite, but I own at least 7 different brands of tubes, and they dll work 👍
  9. I like the ISG intimidator and Dream tubes.. https://isgfishing.net/product-category/bass-lures/bass-plastic-tubes/
  10. The tiny blitz mr and dr both have a coffin bill. Japan Lure Shop has them, but only in 1 color. You just have to check a couple times a week until they get back in stock. They sell fast.
  11. I have that rod...it's no med-lt. Fishes like a M+, but I like it 👍. Nice crispy, sensitive blank.
  12. I really liked them...with all 5 of their bearings, lol. To be fair, I haven't fished any Shimanos since then. Just picked up a couple Curado 70's and a 150mgl. We'll see...
  13. Pline CXX. Shop by diameter. It is a 'hard' line with lower stretch which equates to a little more memory...you'll need your big boy pants for this line.
  14. Has this Valleyhill trap been effective or are you trying it?
  15. My brother went to the Classic, and picked up 4 Zillions so I finally got to palm one on a rod. I had assumed they were about the same size as my '19 tat 100's. Not so...noticeably smaller and more palmable. He paid $120 a piece. Vendor said he was sitting on a bunch because most everyone went with the HD. However, I suspect a new Zillion will show up next year and probably influenced his pricing.
  16. Yes...and after fishing Culprits for years, I saw on the package it says 'how to rig a culprit'. They recommend you rig the hook on the side of the worm...the side with the tail bend. I was hooking it in the flat bottom 🤷‍♂️
  17. IMO, the difference was his area- he found the winning spot. Everyone had to deal with getting fish out of the trees, and I don't recall anyone breaking off. I don't think the sour grapes are directed at Fothergill...it's FFS that people have a problem with.
  18. It's interesting that he won the super bowl of bass fishing, but most don't consider him the best fisherman in the country.
  19. Not telling people what you are catching them on is just the competitive nature of anglers. "How about YOU figure it out!", lol. Also, most anglers believe in fish becoming 'aware' of a bait, and do not want everyone throwing 'their' bait.
  20. The Original Culprit worm will turn 50 soon. Released in 1977 and still kickin' bass.
  21. I have 9 OG Concept Z's. They are great. The 2nd generation reels use a material similar to Shimano's Ci4+ for the frame material (except the A model- its aluminum). I'd read the reviews on TW. Most Folks love the C2, and I've seen them brand new on ebay for as little as $110.
  22. It isn't mine...a guy posted it on my local FB fishing group. One of the coolest old lures I've seen. American ingenuity 👏
  23. There he is! Thought you might be in rehab 🤡.
