  1. You could be right. That would be totally different than how it was won by Edwin Evers there a few years ago. I don't think livescope was around then.
  2. Just watched the local news here in Tulsa, and they gave the forecast for the Grand lake area. A cold front is going to hit this weekend, and weatherman said 25-40mph winds on Sunday. I hope the chance of rain happens and muddies the water and makes it even tougher to get a limit. Grand is my home lake, and I really learn a lot when the pros fish tough conditions
  3. I'll be there. I live in Tulsa, and my uncle has to work the event (he is Skeeter's regional manager for this area). I think the expo will be pretty cool.
  4. Wish they had a 1/2oz. The 3/4oz may run close to the same depth as a 1/2oz tandem willow I suppose. I'm a massive fan of the flo red kicker blade.
  5. You may be on to something. I was going to pick up a couple at the Spring Classic @ 25% off. BPS is sold out completely. In stote and online. Must be pretty good...
  6. Yes, I switch hands. If I went lefty, I'd still need to use my other hand to hold the rod while I move my right hand from casting to palming position.
  7. Kinami has been out of business for years. My top traps- lv500, Jackal TN 70, and Yozuri 3d vibe.
  8. I won a club tournament in tough post spawn conditions using a 3/16oz Leverage spinnetbait a few years ago. I had a limit while only one other fish was weighed in. It was a small limit, but I felt like a boss 🤴. My answer to the OP is a small finesse jig like the baby boo or bitsy jig, because they work in water from 40-95 degrees 👍. Tiny crank is the runner up for the same reason.
  9. Yeah...ol Hank Parker preached that when I was a kid and he was plugging his Manns spinnerbait.
  10. As someone that sorsn't see well...I'd appreciate the larger eye on those jigs 👍
  11. I used an 843 mbr Loomis for a long time. Great stick, but I imagine the Head Turner (also a 1/4-3/4oz rod) would do just as well. I'm using a 705 Edge first strike ATM...it has an NFC IM blank.
  12. I like JLS best, but order from JLS and Digitaka. More guys are shopping these JDM sites nowdays, so timing is everything. JLS will get a pile of 110's and 110 jrs...you just need to check almost daily for the shipment to get in.
  13. I had access to a rarely fished pond that sounds similar. They'd eat darn near anything I threw. I'd have a t-rigged lizard in the mix for sure....and a white 3/8oz spinnerbait.
  14. I'm glad you are on the forum...you give food for thought on wants vs needs. I know I have rods I don't need, I just don't follow my own advice
  15. Lots of folks like the phenix feather 7'3" XH. I hear it's more of a Heavy+.
  16. I've heard of this happening before (don't remember which company), but it's pretty wild that could happen. Several failures occured for that to ship.
  17. Temple Fork Outfitters mag bass casting rods- 6'9" M and 7'3"ML are $49.99. These sticks are on clearance at TW for $120! I have 1 of each coming. At Sierra, you need $89 to get free shipping. https://www.sierra.com/s~temple-fork-bass/
  18. +1. Add a Smithwick Rogue in there and I'd be set. Back in the day, all jerkbaits were called Rogues, and all tubes were a 'Gitzit'.
  19. Old and questionable. A couple of guys made accounts and posted just once to bash NFC/Edge never to be heard from again. There is a long thread on TT about recent experiences with NFC, and most are positive. I have a Delta 7'2"ML spinning rod, and it is closer to a MH. I figured it is an inshore rating. Nice rod though...
  20. Flat bottom boat trailer for $699 ($665 w/ academy card). *Edit-it's now out of stock* https://www.academy.com/p/mcclain-12-14-single-axle-jon-boat-trailer
  21. The Salamandura is nice, but why did they name it that?!
  22. Yea...all the bronze hook heads are for light line/spinning. Got a few new heads in there to try this year 🎄💥
  23. I have a couple styles of the 'pro' heads (heavier silver hook models). I keep them separate from the light wire heads. I use this one routinely...
  24. +1. Been using them since around 2007. I purchased the complete jigs at first, but now just buy the heads. Some guys complained about the Gammy hook being too thin, so now we have the Fantasy HD. I personally like the lighter wire on the original.
  25. Skirts.com has a bunch of skirt tabs for $1.80... https://www.fishingskirts.com/product-category/skirts-unlimited/skirt-making-material/solid-colors-glitter-and-flake/
