Bears and hummingbirds don't mix.
My humingbird feeder is popular, but I have a red-throated guy that camps out on a vine above the feeder and chases off other birds when they fly in. He's a tiny A-hole.

You need to start throwing in a few JDM baits/line for peak package excitement ?

What exactly is going on with St. Croix?
You never know how widespread or isolated the problem is. I read a while back that NRX casting reel seats were coming unglued (gen 1), but all 6 of mine and all 8 of my uncle's were unaffected.

Longest casting baitcasting reel
I have daiwas and 13 fishing reels ATM, and of course the centrifugal brakes on my 13 Fishing reels will outcast my daiwas. Of the reels you listed, I'd probably choose the Bantam for bombing 3/8oz and up.

Mono
Back in 2001, I switched from Trilene XL/XT to Pline CX and CXX (CX for spinning and CXX for casting). I do use a couple other lines as well.

You've never held a rod like this in your hand before
I need to hold it. If it is comfy, I'd sport it.

I'm an imx-pro fan...have a couple cbr's. Getting ready to add the 841. I do think this series shows the Loomis name/warranty is worth a 30% price hike over comparable models.

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly Stik: A score and basic review of rods up to $250.
Didn't know Falcon and Virtus/jewel were the same company. Kinda strange they decided to outsource blanks and manufacturing for their long established Falcon brand, and then decided to roll blanks again under a new name. Maybe they thought Falcon couldn't be revived as a known USA company and had to start fresh with virtus.

Last winter I saw numerous TD-Z's on ebay for cheap (under $200). Fun fact, the TD-Z retailed for $349.99, and according to google....$350 in 2003 would equate to $580 in buying power today.

Bagley’s Honey B Question
Killer baits. This reminds me I need to grab some of the rattlin' honey b's at TW before they are gone. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Bagley_Rattlin_Honey_B_Squarebill_Crankbait/descpage-BRHB.html

The Weightless Way
I threw a weightless tube last year in a couple of the ponds/streams I fish. I fished it like a slider...adding in some upward twitches to keep it around 2' deep. It was effective.

BFS just a trend
I think bfs is peaking right now and will level off, but is here to stay. Most bass fisherman don't go lower than 6lb line/3.5g bait, and the finesse casters available can do that pretty well.

Speeding up your retrieve can be the ticket with followers. If speeding up your jerkbait doesn't work, switch to a trap.
