  1. I think.all Black Widow rods are built on the IM blanks nowdays. The line used to be a mix of IM and HM models. The epitome is their highest end model and uses the new 'x-ray air carbon' blank. They only have the 7-2" MH at this point.
  2. Sweet. I knew you'd approve of the 806. I think folks (like me) usually order from edge during a sale when they are backed up with orders....hence the longer wait times. Glad you got them quick....it's encouraging to others thinking of trying them.
  3. That was great. It's his signature reaction. I'm a fan....
  4. I prefer graphite or composite. I also prefer a good copolymer line. I use 8lb CXX (.012") for all but large deep divers.
  5. I do this as well when I'm on foot. Having a dozen selections of the same type bait isn't necessary.
  6. I have a couple gen 1 concept a's....been very happy with them.
  7. I have the 806 cbr....it has a great taper and is crazy light. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the composite model..
  8. I have a thin 3700 (3701) for each type of plastic I use....the 'starting lineup' of each type bait. I want to view all my choices at the same time....not flip through a binder or dig in a duffle bag. Maybe one day we will see a truly worm resistant plano box that doesn't warp.
  9. Just saw these....look like a must try.
  10. Superb rods/blanks. I own 1 Delta series, 6 First Strike, and 2 Black Widows. The only gripe people frequently have with Edge is the wait time to receive your rod(s). If you order during the christmas sale....it will be mid march before you get it.
  11. The 8.1 changed my bottom contact game. I believe everyone has a set amount of reeling they do before setting the hook. With a fast reel, I noticed immediately that when I set the hook....I had less slack and was deeper into my rods power. So for me it's 8+ ratio for bottom contact and buzzbaits/frogs/traps, 7 for single hook moving baits, 6 gear for most cranks, snd 5 gear for large deep water-haulers.
  12. Carbon fiber grip? Looks good to me. I'll stick to my favorites, but lews fans should give it a go (with 20% or more off)
  13. Crankbaits, rods/reels, and shoes/boots. I'm a shopper....starting to have quite the display of sunglass also ?
  14. God is great Beer is good And people are crazy...
  15. Couple of my cannabis plants... 'Holy Punch' 'Peyote Wi-fi' 'Phantom Cookies Domina'
  16. This, along with a fat shad colored squarebill like a bagley b2...and a trap.
  17. Me too. I have a zillion 10 that makes it easy to keep my buzzbait up and movin'.
  18. Poison Glorious 7'4"XH would be an ultimate frog rod...and it is the ultimate time to buy one.
  19. This is it. You get a small loop or kink that rubs and gives way from friction. Used to happen to me every now and again with my old mg50 shimanos. I'd get a little 'fluff' going on while bombing spinnerbaits and miss a loop. You usually hear the loop making contact right before your lure sails out never to return
  20. Those are dynamite. You can pick them up along with your groceries at wally world.
  21. I have way to many cranks....I now admit to collecting them ?
  22. I was 'Loomis only' from '01-'19. Every rod I tried that was 'as sensitive as a glx' wasn't. Still love Loomis, but I have some other rods now that can hang close.
  23. Yea...that's why my selections were all small 2" baits.
  24. I have a frw of these I haven't thrown....good to hear. "If you want me to take a dump in a box and mark itbguaranteed...I will. I have the free time." Lol 'You know how well regarded a crankbait is by the amount of space an angler gives it in his tackle box.' -me.
