Favorite rubber jig
I assemble my own as well, but can't make any more until fishingskirts.com replenishes.

Yo-Zuri Hooks
I'm not sure of the brand....but they are sticky.

Only one moving bait rod
Mbr 843 loomis will work. I used an old IMX for the same techiques as a non-boater myself years ago.

Favorite Flat Sided Crank Bait ?
Zoom Tapp. Looks like the Black Label knockoff version is called the slim DD.

Plat.co
Plat is one of the first places to offer jdm tackle for sale online. Great place people don't check as much anymore with all these new jdm retailers.

Clear vs Green
I use clear line simply because I can see it better above the water. Green line seems to blend in to my surroundings.

Cold water finesse jig
Color selection has been lacking for a few years now...not sure why.

Cold water finesse jig
Booyah baby boo jig. 3/16oz is dynamite if you can get away with it, and 5/16oz for a little deeper water or if its windy. The baby boo's have better skirts and hooks than the bitsy bug. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?start=0&count=30&searchtext=Baby+boo+jig

Nice. I'm not sure why other folks aren't buying up the yo-zuri cranks that are on sale. They are great baits with sharp hooks for a bargain price.

Looking for a spinning rod
I own the 6-8 medium (1/8-3/4)Tatula spinning rod. It is a little stout, but I like it. For your needs, the 6-10 medium(1/16-3/8oz) would be my choice, even though its 2" longer than you want. The handle on these sticks are very comfortable, and the rod is also plenty sensitive and sharp looking.

How do you like the alphas ct? I need a couple of casters for 8lb line cranking. Alphas ct/air and curado/scorpion bfs are in the running. I bet you can cast all the line off of that ktf spool with your heartland rod ?

Anyone start using a left-handed baitcaster after years of using righties?
This is happening for me as well this winter. I've used spinning rods for jerkbaits since l was a kid, so I'm used to reeling with my left for this technique. Hoping to score a lefty '16 zillion 7.3 for 30% off from TW.

Using reels the "wrong way"
You may not be switching hands during/after a cast, but don't you need to move your hand from the casting position on the rod handle to palming the reel? Also, I switch hands while my bait is still airborn...near the end of the cast. Just some food for thought...

You live in a town named Hookset?! Is Greg Hackney the mayor?

Doesn't feel slow to me at all. Bumping my palm with the blank to show its taper illustrated a med/mod fast rod that was responsive and not the buggy whip I thought it might be. It's crazy light at 91g (3.2oz) but I guess it should be. I wanted a rod for small cranks/tiny topwaters and I think it hits the mark. Feels like you could drop shot with it . I'm excited enough about the taper that I already want to order the 'one ten' stick, which also claims to be a slow tapered rod in a 6'5" F4 package.

The rod fairy showed up with a twin-pack from Japan. Glorious 7'H and 6-11 F2.5 P5.

Daiwa Steez CT SV TW 70XH
No more purple accents? I kinda liked that. I guess I assumed the '19 8.1 gear had a 90mm handle. I'll also say it's strange I haven't seen a new steez on the JDM sites yet. The U.S. seems to always be several months behind when new reels come out.

Jigheads for Soft Plastics
I use jigheads a lot of times versus using a pegged slip sinker. My favorite by far is the rock walker jigheads by chompers. You can even throw a skirt on them and make a finesse jig. https://chompers.com/shop/rock-walker-jig/

It was way too soon for a revamp....makes you wonder if there were a couple of things that needed adjustment.

I try and follow this logic, but keep finding new niches ?

Lure pic thread. Lets see something unique
The John Hott cranks I picked up last summer are something nice to look at. Truth be told, I dont think the fish care as much. I only fished local streams last season due to life happenings, so I haven't used them yet.

Am I alone?
I was a buyer and seller of rods....now I just buy :). It's ok to collect. If you are feeling guilty about your unused stuff, just watch an episide of 'american pickers'. Dudes build metal buildings just to hold all their crap.

NRX+ or Megabass P5
+1 Its more powerful than you think it will be. 873 is my fav for bottom contact.
