  1. You seem to have it covered except for cranking sticks. You really need 2; one for smaller baits and one for larger water haulers.
  2. I like a 6'-6'6" 1/4-5/8oz spinning rod with a fast action for jerkbaits. I ve used 6'M Avids and 6'/ 6-6"MH Loomis SJR's in the past.
  3. Chompers stand up jighead... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Chompers_Stand-Up_Jig_Head_8pk/descpage-CSUJH.html?from=gshop&gclid=CjwKCAjwtJ2FBhAuEiwAIKu19lmC6zkB2ORsQIvXEKjEUEOpuzlo_6ANj2lOfDpOt4NW2iAfv3SBbRoCm5oQAvD_BwE My favorite all around jighead is the chompers rock Walker. https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/chompers-rock-walker-jig?ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=Shop|CAB|TopPerformers|Fishing&gclid=CjwKCAjwtJ2FBhAuEiwAIKu19uL3EBbb2z6KIBEJXUlQCYPeoGGBXYCwUf4QNJ0KWNMUb0iryXPo2hoCwlsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  4. I think the carbon grips on my black widows are classy. Don' t know if Edge/nfc sells these though.
  5. I was just browsing those Valleyhill's on Digitaka....mainly just to educate myself. They seem nice, just havent seen anyone post one up. Until now I guess...
  6. My Daiwa Black Label or 'BLX' rods arrived. They are the 'limber' moving bait models. One is a 7-3ml+ 1/7-7/8oz. 110g, the other is a 7-4mh 1/4-1 1/2oz. 130g rod. They have the nicest cork of any rod I own or have owned. I'll add that both models seem med-fast and should be versatile.
  7. My 13 fishing concept reels are the smallest I own. They even make my steez sv feel wide.
  8. I 'needed' a few parts from Digitaka, and somehow ended up with a dozen Deps cranks as well. All Korrigans; 3 SR's, 4 MR's, and 5 magnum 150's.
  9. I use 4" zip ties. They are the same width as those elastic bands that dissentigrate after a couple years. You can tuck the buckle under the weed guard for heavy cover, but I like to leave it out on the underside of the jig...acts as a fulcrum to hike up your trailer when dragged. The one on the left has a tucked buckle, and the one on the right has an exposed buckle.
  10. Sierra Trading has Daiwa Black Label rods for 30% off. Picked up the 7-3 ml+ and 7-4mh 'limber' models. https://www.sierra.com/s~daiwa-blx/
  11. I'm sure many of you have read something before about how bass see color, but this is a particularly good article that has some info that was new to me. https://www.gameandfishmag.com/editorial/what-colors-do-bass-see/372341#:~:text=The cellular composition of the, selectivity based on these colors.&text=Likewise%2C bass cannot readily distinguish, colors like chartreuse and white.

I also still buy and use the lunker city Texposer hooks for senkos and longer worms. They have a bit longer length than EWG's of the same size. VERY sharp, quality hooks.
  13. Are you popping/stroking your bait right after it hits the water? This gets your blades spinning even if you plan to let it sink a bit.. My first thought was maybe they weren't spinning until mid cast.
  14. Makes sense...they've had a scorpion bfs for a while now.
  15. I use lunker city Texposer in 5/0. These hooks were made for soft stickbaits/Sluggo's, and have a longer shank. Very sharp. https://lunkercity.com/products/texposer-hook?variant=18480507256894
  16. I was on hiatus from 2009-'14. My first thoughts coming back were....'Wow look at Lews go!' and 'What the H is a Ned rig?'
  17. When I saw your thread title, I immediately knew you were speaking of the 'skinny bear' brand style of jig. They are on my list...reviewers swear by them. The design looks like it would take more weight to get the same fall rate as a standard jig.
  18. 6-10 or 7' unless I'm fishing deeper water. It is my opinion that shorter rods are more agile and allow you to shake, pop, swim or stroke your jig more effectively.
  19. I havent fished either, but I'm a bargain hunter and with the Scorpion DC on sale, you literally can buy 2 of them for the price of a metanium DC.
  20. If you ate looking for an inexpensive frog rod, I'd look at the 7-3 H Academy Ethos HD rod It sports a 30 ton blank and alconite rings for $80. Surprisingly light weight as well. They do go on sale somewhat frequently like all house brands, but the Ethos is out of stock online at the moment. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-ethos-hd-baitcast-rod#repChildCatid=3901160
  21. Scorpion DC's for $224 shipped. https://www.digitaka.com/item.php?item=69363036612&maker=180&category=284&series=125
  22. Don't know if the adrena is the same, but the ultima/glorious 'glass' rods are 10% glass. They actyally weigh a few grams less than the 100% graphite models.
  23. Thanks for the 'pre-confidence'. I picked up several bags of these on sale last year and need to wet one.
  24. Dick's in Tulsa got rid of the fishing department.
  25. Lucky craft BDS 1's and 2's are gold. I got lucky a couple years ago, and found an ebay seller that had several colors in stock for the $16.99 retail price. It's crazy to see these going for WEC money on ebay. Have you seen Damiki's 'Bryan Thrift' squarebill? I picked up a few from TW during the Christmas sale, and they ate remarkably close to the BDS 2. Here are 2 of the Damiki's and 2 BDS 2's for comparison... Edit....I just saw these baits are back at TW....Where have I been? https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?sort=no&start=0&count=30&searchtext=Bds+2
