I had been shopping for a rod rack(s) and really had a hard time. I imagined a black contemporary rack made of wood. Didn't have any luck so I just went cheap and picked up 5 6- rod racks that connect together. I'd want to know what rods they were, so here goes.. 5 gen 1 Abu Garcia Villains (4x 6'9"ML/mod-fast and 1 6'6" M/fast). 8 Edge rods (Black Widow 7'MHx2, First Strike 7'8"H, 8'H Mod, 7'Hx2, 7'MH, 7'M) NRX (893c, 873c, 843c, 852c, 803s, 852s) Imx-Pro crankers (864, 903) and 6-6M Tatula spinning (jerkbaits) Shimano Poison Glorious [Glorious XC 7'M & 7'3"MH (carbon grip)...6'10"M, 6'10"H, 6'11"MH, 7'H+, 7'4"MH, 7'6"H (cork grip)]

Ordered some shoes and these Yozuri 2.5's from Sierra. They have a mesmerizing translucent finish.

The conversion to thin 3700's is pricey, but worth it IMO. I'm doing it a chunk at a time.

I tried watching MLF a couple of times, but was frustrated by the lack of information sharing. I taped every episode of 'The Bassmasters' back in the day, but they explained what they were doing, what they were using, and why. MLF was just guys catching fish with nothing learned.

As stated above, if stored cool, dry, and dark it should last indefinitely. I still have almost 3,000yds of Pline Tactical filler spools from the BOGO sale TW had several years ago.

Some folks claim the more rigid magnesium frame transmits strikes better than an aluminum/carbon framed reel. So "more sensitive" is the claim

Alphas are nice. The ct model you are looking at (2019 model) has a smaller spool than the standard alphas. If you want more versatility, I'd choose the new '21 alphas SV.

I purchased several jdm rods last year, and got hit each time. I have ordered countless reels and baits from japan in the past, and wasn't bothered. I ordered two rods at a time to save on shipping, but averaged about $67 in customs fees per rod tube through fedex.

Two Hott H-1's showed up yesterday; one in Crappie and the other in watermelon red craw.

Been using a Falcon FTO terminal box to organize my hooks for almost 20 years now. Wish they still made them. Weights/jigheads get a Plano thin 3700 (3701).

Didn't know Pace purchased Ed Chambers old machines. I did read many years back that Lee Sisson built those duplicators for the WEC baits. I'll admit I am rarely throwing my WEC's now that they are so collectable. John Hott is making WEC copies that are amazing....I'll post a pic shortly.

Ordered a rod (6-9"XH poison glorious) and 13 megabass jerkbais from jpangler. Ordered this the weekend of Nov. 7-8th, and received the jerkbaits lightning fast on Wednesday the 11th. No rod. I check my email for tracking, and they only attached one tracking number to my order, which corresponded to the box of jerkbaits I received. I email jpangler asking if they had shipped the rod, and if so, give me the tracking number. No response. After 3 weeks of emailing them to mo avail, I opened up a paypal claim. That was almost two weeks ago, and just yesterday JP Angler FINALLY responded to paypal and agreed to refund my money. Never received an explanation. Oh...and yes, I have ordered a reel from them before, and I am just as surprised by this as a few others will be.

I dont know if this has been posted, but Daiwa has a new smaller Zillion 1000 coming out. The color, new brake dial location, and size tell me its aimed directly at the Metanium. There are so many high end rods these days. It used to be just choosing between a GLX or Croix LE. With all these newer high end models by different makes, you just need to pick a few models that tickle your fancy, and then make your decision based on user and Tackle Tour reviews. Such a personal decision...they're all good at this point.

Its apparently contagious. Ordered a rod amd baits from japan lure shop, and received only my baits last wednesday....no poison glorious. Never had to deal with something not showing up from japan. The website I posted regarding the steez....these people are google advertisers so I guess I'm a little surprised.
