  1. I have a few Baby-1, maybe I should start using them again!!😉
  2. Very sad. Prayers go out to the family.
  3. Last 3 years I went to using snaps, took off all the oval and rounds ring. I use the ones that look like as paper clip. Never had a problem with them.

All great answers above. Fish light and don't fish too fast!!!
  7. I fished that warm streak 5 days ago. The air temp was 74 and the water temp was 55-59. I fish docks and riprap. This time of year I fish nothing but riprap mainly because they pull the water down and there are not much water around the docks. Also, I think the water temp gets warmer around the rocks.I caught 9 fish in about 4 hours, started a 1pm and quit about 4. 2 big fish, 4 keepers, and 4 dinks.I caught them all on a crankbait. I was cranking at normal speed, with a few pauses. Come on spring!!!
  8. I don't have a favorite. I think my rods are probably half and halve. If the rod does what I want it to for a particular lure, it don't matter which handle is on it but I do prefer it to be cork.
  9. Same here!!! Been using them for a while. I got the orange color size which is the standard size. They got 2 sizes bigger and 1 size smaller.
  10. I have kept my boat in the garage forever, (since I had a boat), and never had a problem. I do keep my doors open most of the time.
  11. Caught this one this last Fall on a Senko. Didn't get the weight.
  12. I got 2 Dobyns 705CB crankbait rods, Daiwa Tatula 100 SV TW reels loaded with 15# Seaguar Invizx fluorocarbon line, Been using this combination for years.
  13. Glad to hear Lynn is better. Always good to have your wife fishing with you. Mine loves to go until it gets too hot!!!
  14. This the first fish but caught 2 that weighed 5 plus latter that day.
  15. First fishing trip of the year!! Two different fish, 3 oz. different.
  16. I carry a floor jack, 4 way lug wrench (fits truck and trailer), jumper cables, jump box, bearings, seal, hammer, piece of wood, gloves, towels. Hope I never use any of it!!!
  17. To be totally honest, I never sharpen my hooks. If it is a hook on a crankbait, I change them out. On a worm hook, I throw it away and get a fresh one. Any other bait, I just throw it and set the hook hard. I guess this comes from getting old!!!
  18. I got locks for my truck and trailer, got some fairly nice rims for the trailer and would hate to see them gone. I keep my spare for the trailer in the bed of the truck, it has a hard cover.

This is what I use. Once said I would neve use a snap, tried it 3 years ago and now I use it on all my crankbait rods. I think I catch more fish because I can take off a crank and have another on in 6 seconds. I don't ever remember losing a fish because of the snap and really don't think it changes the action.
  20. Happy New Year!!! May this be the year of your PB!!!!
  21. Same here. I have never had it come untied.
  22. Crazy Shad or Devils Horse, about the only 2 I throw.
  23. Wow what a hard hit!!! He was a wealth of information. He will be missed. Praying for his family.
  24. Merry Christmas Y'all!!!!
  25. If I had to look back to back a trailer, it would take a while. I learned to back using mirrors. Worked for a public electrical utility for 41 years and backing a trailer is just something you have to learn. Just seems natural to me now.
