Got my $88 Daiwa Tatula Elite 7'1" Heavy. Of course haven't fished with it but putting a reel on and casting a few lures with it, this might turn out to be my favorite rod. To me it feels and cast great!!! I Thinking anything from frogs to worms to chatterbaits. Wish I ordered 3. Looks like they still have the 6'9" in stock and discounted. Anybody got both? How do they compare besides being shorter?

My favorite jerk bait. Been throwing one for many years and it stills continue to catch them. As far as equipment, I thrown it on a Falcon 6 1/2 ft rod with a Daiwa Tatula 100 reel loaded with 12# Sunline mono.

Look at the Dobyns Sierra line of rods. They have 3 rods that are 6'8". I am thinking that the 683 model would be great for cranks. It is listed as a med/heavy but it is more like a med. They also have one model that is lighter that would also work.
