  1. Miravel from Digitaka at 104.00 or Diawa Caldia at 155.00 Both are impressive reels.
  2. Insert a small screwdriver in the opening and press it into the V and it will open it enough to slide. Try one as a test to see if it works for you. Otherwise just by the free rig weights from Seiberts Outdoors.
  3. I have a tidal affected section of the Columbia about 7 miles away. My home lake is 30 minutes away. I have numerous options in the Columbia from 90 minutes to 2 hours each way. My favorite day trip lake is 90 minutes. Most everything else is 5 hours or more. I can be in western Idaho in 7.5 hours.
  4. I’m better at guessing the weight of a pizza than any bass.
  5. Bill Lewis ATV in bluegill but I have many many more I like and fish.
  6. I like the War Eagle for full size and the Accent 5/16 compact. I match them with a Zoom Z Craw. Color is simple with white and black.
  7. Megabass will evaluate the sales response and manufacture accordingly. They are a master of managing sales to inventory.
  8. It’s an excellent entry level Floro to start with. Wet your knots and you’re good to go.
  9. Grabbed some stuff from Sieberts. I stocked up on tungsten worm weights while they are on sale and some limited addition Brush jigs. A few swim jigs and some of Mikes new morning dawn color spinnerbaits. I’m giving the Megladon spinnerbaits a try because they should stay down in river current. Tied to order and I always go with wire tied.
  10. Absolutely. Vegetation will be emerging and the bass will be moving shallow. If the water is flat a swim jig can out produce a spinnerbait. I run a Sieberts in a bluegill or green pumpkin with a craw trailer for that reason. Black- blue will also get some innings in.
  11. Trick Shad
  12. Unless I get back to Clear Lake, my Lunker Punker. I have a Rat and that’s a maybe at best.
  13. I take my hearing aids out for that in tune with nature vibe.
  14. The section of the Columbia in the Kennewick Pasco area is somewhat unique in comparison the the lower section PDX is fishing and different to the steeper George pools like the Dallas are up to Banks lake. You have two rivers that enter, Yakima and Snake and some significant off channel areas where current is minimal. Finally you have numerous islands and shoals. Get on goodie earth and you’ll see the layout. You’ll have the whole gamut of lures at your disposal. Check out Nixon’s Marine in Pasco and ask for Willie. He knows the river like the back of his hand and can point you in the right direction. Lure selection will include: Super Spook Fluke Soft Swimbaits Jig and Minnow Drop Shot Ned Tube Wacky-Neko Jerkbait Crankbaits spinnerbait bladed jig Beware of the wind. You have an awesome fishery in your front yard!
  15. I prefer to start with a reaction bait and cover water in the prespawn. The lures will be dictated by the cover, depth, water color and wind level. I start out from the bank and work my way in. If I’m confident fish are present but not active or aggressive, I’ll slow down and power finesse. If I’m fishing for Smallie’s the slow down will be more traditional finesse techniques . Once again, it’s a process.
  16. Winter is when I become a tackle speculator. After catching all the online videos and watching the new fishing shows, it always seems to bring new baits or terminal tackle used in 2025 up. With that, I speculate as to the how, when and where they would really pay off. So it’s time to place the orders. And I’m always watching for Sieberts special releases and jump on that.
  17. I haven’t been able to log in for a while because of a glitch on my end. I was able to contact Glenn and let him know of my issues. Glenn, in normal fashion problem solved the disconnect on my behalf. Glenn went the extra mile to allow me to sign in. What a guy! Thanks again Glenn!!!!!
  18. I’m in the bluebasser86 camp. I have a reel for each rod and the reel balances with the rod as does the line. I have a few reels with braid on the side in case the line type will be needed.
  19. I wish shipping wasn’t so expensive. I have moved numerous rods over the past thirty years but not as of late. My oldest active rod right now is 15 years old. Even when posting with club members, selling is slow.
  20. Primary is profile, especially when fishing plastics. Color and contrast is more of a fine tune when profile is established. That’s my approach.
