  1. All of the aforementioned baits are good. I would mention the Bandit Flat Maxx as another great option. The 6th Sense Pressure series is an excellent as well. You will have a smorgasbord of lures to choose from.
  2. Not trying to pick a scab KP Duty but the Norman Speed N has no relation to the Luhr Jensen Speed Trap. Both are fantastic baits.
  3. Lucky me. I took advantage of the Edge sale and was lucky to get the new Epitome EXO 673 Spin in stock. I dropped by my local family owned sporting goods store and they had Abrazix for 12.97 to 14.97 depending on test. I’m going to grab some more. What a deal.
  4. Mine is decorated with Norman’s Deep Little N’s.😉
  5. 12 to 15 weeks at this point as they added a satellite production facility.
  6. The Xtasy is a fast action but the 5 power rating is a bit over stated. The Champion Xtreme XP 745 is a heavy. I actually prefer the Xtreme over the Xtasy.
  7. I have a dedicated shakey head rod. If fish are relating to a hard bottom, it’s an effective and efficient technique.
  8. Take a look at the Edge ISR 703-1S. I stumbled on this model last year. It is in their in shore line up. The taper is pretty slow so I would class this model a true moderate or traditional action. The power is similar to a Dobyns 702. It shines as a dropshot or Ned rod. Some in shore actions fit really well for bass techniques.
  9. There are several online retailers offering the Tatula CT for a hundred bucks. That would be my pick.
  10. Let’s see……….Excel, they were made by Lamiglas and there were eleven models in the lineup. I had seven models.
  11. Mesh and neoprene covers for every rod and neoprene covers on the reels. I haven’t broken a rod tip or damaged a guide. My reels are trigger down on the deck. Yes it runs about 13 bucks a combo but protecting my investment is well worth it.
  12. Well Mike, I just saw this on your FB page and placed an order. Thanks for bringing us great new products.
  13. Katie, you are in a unique situation in that, you have to pack in a canoe with your gear and that limits what you can carry. It also puts some restrictions on the environment you fish. You’re blessed with good fish populations where you do fish. Then there’s other folks that are more mobile, have boats that permit us to fish almost unlimited locations so we can fish diverse situations. All that to say, baits or lures are to me, tools. Each specific situation will have a most optimum and efficient tool. I love the process of refining the method and tool to maximize efficiency and hopefully the catch rate. So I don’t think overlapping tools are the most effective tool. But I will say the curse of the monkey is buying and stocking lures that are redundant. I am bad at that. Just my thoughts.
  14. I want to fish with my grandsons and help them develop their skills. I can’t wait to hear them yell, Papa, got one!!! I’m not one to take fish pictures but that could change.
  15. I move the weight fast enough and long enough to get my bait to plane up off the bottom. The pause is long enough to let it fall to the bottom.
  16. I bought a Shimano spinning reel and the tariff was 10 percent. Free shipping and I still saved almost 30 bucks.
  17. I bought my first Bandit 100 in 1985 or so. There was a coupon offer of 5 for $9.99 and have had some in the boat ever since. The first were Tennessee Shad color. If I’m picking a bait over a Wiggle Wart or Rock Crawler, it’s going to be a Norman’s Deep Little N.
  18. If you invest your hard earned money on any rod, protect it and get the longest life possible out of it. Sealing the cork will lengthen the life.
  19. The SLX 70 would be a good choice. The Tatula TW80 would be another great choice.
  20. Yup. Done for the year. Hybrid Hunter Siebert Swim Jig w. Craw trailer Speed Trap 1/4 oz. Custom painted Hot Lips Ned Drop Shot Hula Grub 176 Custom Painted DLN and Wiggle Wart Siebert Cosmic DW Spinnerbait And yes, Wacky Senko
  21. Fisherman’s Resource has two models, left and right, Okuma Hakai casting reels on clearance for 89.99 w. free shipping. I ordered a lefty for my grandson.
