  4. Had surgery this morning to extricate another kidney stone. They had to get it out of the kidney. This malady has been a curse to me. This is number three this year. It makes me want to listen to Jimmi Hendrix song, Stone Free. At least I can rest for a few days. Beats shoveling snow.
  5. Being a cop for 25 years, people often asked if we wrote lots of tickets did we get a bonus? I made it clear we did, a new pen.
  6. I’m going to throw a wrench in the gears. I have multiple variations of SV spooled Daiwas. You know what model casts jerk baits and smaller hard baits best for me??? You don’t? Well I’m going to blurt it out. The Elite 100. Surprise!!!! I have one on my Champion 704CB and one on my Kaden 610-4CB. They will cast farther that my Steez. I’m really impressed with the Elites.

  12. I got an Echo for my wife for Christmas. My Daughter set it up. Perfect. My wife immediately says, “Alexa..... Tell my husband to take you back.”

  15. Took the words right out of my mouth.
  16. Way to go Koz! What ever you choose, it will be just right.
  17. I caught my first bass 58 years ago. I live in slime country and bass we’re a joke decades ago and to many, still are. I did the salmon, trout, steelhead deal but 40 years ago made bass the priority. I don’t see myself as improving as much as expanding. I want to expand my skills and knowledge as an angler. The most impacting way is to fish different bodies of water. I mean diverse locations from ponds to big reservoirs and anything in between. If you have a comfort zone, get out of it once and awhile.
  18. I fish/rig a Hula Grub three ways. The primary rig is on an exposed hook football jig head. Quarter ounce 3/0 wire hook gets 90 percent of my use. I will run a 3/8 ounce 3/0 with weed guard when wood comes into play. I rarely rig them Texas style but have around vegetation. The primary retrieve is dragging. Then I may lift and drag. Regardless, I want to mimic crayfish. I fish mine on a medium action spinning rod.
  19. I purchased a spool of 30lb for pitching in pads and bog bean. The feature that sold me was it’s “stiffness” for braid. It minimizes the sag found in Smack Down. Any thoughts?
  20. You beat me to it! Efficiently.
  21. Farting and grandsons should not be wasted. It is an opportunity to bond together in a moment of innocence. I hope you have taught him the value of farting while seated on a nice oak chair to gain that clear distinctive golden tone.
  22. Yes. Max scent Flat Worm. It proved itself time and time again. Nothing flashy about the shape or color but the smallmouth ate it.
