  1. If the door opens into his room (which most dorm doors do), close the door, then stack soda cans in the frame on the hall side against the door. stack them as high as you can. Then tape up the door frame so they can't fall into the hallway. When he opens the door from the inside, they will all tumble into his room. Takes a lot of work but it would be hilarious.
  2. I honestly don't care where we fish, I don't even care if I catch any fish...It'll be fun finally being able to fish with someone who cares about it as much as I do. I have only fished with one person who had their own tackle... I really hope I can make it.
  3. did you catch that first one in that shallow area near the entrance?
  4. if you wade downstream far enough from Elys Ford there are some big fish. I went there probably 6-8 times this summer and I caught fish over 16" everytime and a couple 20"ers

I use anywhere from 2/0-4/0 extra wide gaps for most of my plastics. I also use straight shanks with worms though.
  6. I agree, having worked at Dick's, I have to say that the training for me was terrible. Luckily I went there in the first place because I was into fishing and wanted to work around fishing stuff so I knew a pretty good amount about the tackle and techniques. However, I went in knowing virtually nothing about guns and they were in the same department. I left knowing a very small amount more about guns and that was pretty much because of my researching stuff on my own.
  7. just check it on the website. somebody already posted how to get it. Go to your store on the website and then check the current circular. Dave, I'm assuming since you're in MD that your closest store is the one at Arudel Mills? Here's a link for their circular.
  8. I love the show. It's great to see people try to argue their way out of situations where they are obviously wrong. all people have to do is follow the rules...I know sometimes it's hard, but by parking somewhere you aren't allowed to, you are subjecting yourself to the consequences of taking that risk.
  9. buckeye, I think the Aegis was more important in this operation than the actual missile but yeah, you are right about the cooperation. The important thing is that we have technology capable of incredible things. dave, there is a video. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/02/21/AR2008022100641.html?hpid=topnews
  10. What did Raytheon do? The real feat was accomplished by Lockheed Martin and the Aegis radar system. My dad works for LM and from what little he can tell me, the Aegis is one of the country's most valuable assets.
  11. beechnut, the one time I fished the New River, I saw plenty of GIANT crawdads. I had good luck with plastic crawdad imitations. Tubes are also worth a shot as they are supposed to look like crawdads to fish. I also like to fish plastic jerkbaits like flukes or shakey head worms on football head jigs. The New is pretty rocky, so I would recommend the football jigs, they will get stuck in rocks much less than a standard jighead. As I've said, I only fished there once, but I found pools and cast up ahead of them and let crawdad baits drift down into the pools with the current. I caught about 10 in an hour and lost one really big one that cut my line on the rocks or just broke me off.
  12. LOL. Few can sruvive a fight with Mr. Cuervo.
  13. Virginia has it all! Mountains, beaches, and its not TOO far from anywhere on the east coast, north or south. Seriously, though, good luck in making your decision, but remember, you can always try something out and then do something else if it doesn't fit.
  14. I'm going to New Orleans over spring break (first week of March) and I was wondering if anyone was familiar with any places that I could fish for bass and/or redfish from the bank. I obviously can't take my boat and I don't want to spend money renting one so I just want to find some bank fishing spots. I've read that you can catch bass in City Park but I wanted to get some more information about bass and redfish spots in the area. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah...if you can't beat 'em.... : I don't think it was a matter of adapting to mimic Sony and the PS3. Microsoft said from the beginning that they would go with whoever won the HD DVD war. Now that Blu Ray has won, XBOX is offering the most up to date technology. Up until now, Blu Ray had really been the major reason that people have been buying PS3 instead of XBOX. Now that XBOX will be Blu Ray compatible as well, they will probably win buyers who would have gone with the PS3 because of the Blu Ray. I would expect to see XBOX increase their lead over PS3 sales once the Blu Ray models or converters come out.
  16. they do look great. I might try to get a few soon.

Except now Microsoft is expected to shortly announce a Blu Ray XBOX360 which is going to eliminate another one of the few advantages of the PS3... ;D

I like Zoom and Berkeley's Finesse worms but I also really like Case Plastics' Jack's Worm. It has a tapered tail that makes it quiver in the water.

exactly. Also, without the demand for HD DVD, the demand for Blu Ray will increase, allowing them to sell higher volumes at lower prices.
  20. It's annoying, yes, but most times I think it's unintentional. Redundancy also offers more weight to a statement--the more people that agree with an answer, the more valid it seems to the questioner.
  21. Put me down as a maybe. THere's just no way for me to tell what my school work will be like that weekend. I'd like to make it though. I've got a jon boat and I may be able to fit someone else in it if I can find a good way to transport it. I would personally prefer Huntsman, Royal or Mercer but that's just me. I could probably make the trip to other places though. That's based on the relative toughness of some of the other close lakes as well as some of the pictures that guys have posted of big fish coming from Huntsman, Royal and Mercer. (your dad did pretty darn well during late fall at Huntsman or Mercer, correct?)

Hopefully this will drive Blu Ray prices down. I know I don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for a player AND $30 a movie.
  23. maybe thinking of "Charles Town" Ron? WV has Charleston, Charlestown, and Charles Town. Charles Town is the one by Harper's Ferry. Charleston is close to Kentucky and Ohio.
  24. I've had one for a little while but not during good top water conditions so I haven't tested them very much. I wish I had the color of the one in the pic you posted. I got one in a yellowish color. I hope to give it a good try when it gets warmer.
