Most Expensive Set Up
Abu Morrum 1600 UM on a BCR852 GLX Jig & Worm . The Abu went around $320-350 and the Loomis is $370 so I would say $700.

Favorite Flippin Set-Up
7'6"H Diawa Cielo flippin stick!!! It is the lightest and best balanced flipping rod I've ever used. It has a two piece design that is the next best thing to a one piece rod... way better than a telescopic rod IMO. I have it paired with a Revo SX 7 to 1 which is great for getting the bait in quick between flips. Plus it has the strongest drag out of all the high speed reels out there.

For those of you in the Sack-of-tomatoes area
California ACT Members: The California BASS Federation Nation needs help with clean up for Creek Week. While assisting in the urban creeks clean up, you will discover some of the plant and animal life that make urban creeks home. The creeks flow into the Sacramento and American rivers; actions you take to promote creek health also benefit the rivers, fish and other wildlife. During Creek Week you will enjoy, explore and learn about the benefits afforded by local creeks and aquatic life. Work date: Saturday, April 26, 2008 Time: 9:00 am Additional Details: Leaders will provide instructions, garbage bags and bottled water. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mike Landy at 916-233-7797 or lincolnlandy@yahoo.com. Thanks for participating in the BASS Angler Conservation Team program, sponsored by Ramada! Lake Perris
Water is WAAAYYY down from what it used to be. Water clarity is only 3-4 feet where it used to be 10+ feet. Still plenty of fish to be caught there though. I was out with my day on Friday afternoon and I got 9 between 1-2.5lbs on a spinnerbait. My dad stuck a 3lber on a jerkbait. There are a lot of big fish in there though, I just haven't caught any lately.

My one fish.
Absolutly! I stopped by that place one evening on my way down south. I was fishing a 10" power worm and hooked into something I couldn't turn. Nice fish!

It finally happened, My first DD
Congrats Bro!! You got me beat. With hogs like that swiming around your neck of the woods I don't think you have a need for heading down this way.

San Diego Bay Spotted Bay Bass, Halibut, and Corvina
Nice fish! My Girl and I used to fish that same area everyother weekend. (2005-2006) Don't get down that way as much now that they have raised the rental boat rates and the gas prices have gone up so much. There were times when we caught a lot of Barracuda trolling spoonbill Rouges. Next time you are down there, try the Gulp! Sandworm, T-rigged with a glass bead. Just shake it in the grass like you would for LM. Here is one she caught under the bridge on one of our trips down there. Made her a firm believer in St. Croix rods

Loomis Mossyback & Bronzceback Rod Question
Your guy is thinking of the jig and worm series.

Fake lucky craft ?
I too noticed a guy on Ebay that was selling G-splashes and some LV something or other that were a "custom color." They looked like the real deal but you could tell the hooks were wrong. Guy had good feedback though.

No Bass...
Nice fish T-rig. I've always wanted to catch a Zander! Most of the sportfishing books I read as a kid were from Europe and they always mentioned Zander. One of these days!

Tell me the truth.....
DR, they look great. Fish catchers for sure. But I wouldn't call them a 10, you need a spot up there for an 8. Really? White and chartreuse is probably the best selling spinner bait color there is, and a black back with a white underside is a common crankbait and jerkbait color. I don't know if you have ever tied flies before but when you are tying a #20 Adams, yeah, you'll want as little thread showing as possible, but when you are tying patterns like these, a little bulk in the thread department is common. I took a second look and I see what you are saying about the thread. The chartreuse one is a little on the bulky side but not so much that it wouldn't catch fish.

Skinny Bass
Thanks for posting that. I can think of four people I am going to email this to right now!

Your favorite spinnerbait.
Really? I've had two of those break on me on the first trip. My vote has to go for Revenge Deep Runners with the War Eagle Screaming Eagle a close second.

Rapala Glass Fat Raps on clearance at BPS: $2.50
Thanks for the heads up! I am going to look into that tonight.

LaKe Casitas closure
What a shame! Bet they will be inflating their rental boat fees! I was going to fish there two weeks ago and passed. Should have jumped on it.

Three bites and two Varner nine pounders.
Nice pair of toads there.

New to Hula Grubs. Flippin sound like a good idea?

Kentucky Lake/ Barkley Lake
Hey, aren't those lakes from the "great american fisherman" song?
