odd things in bass mouths
I'm not trying to brag about the size of the bass I caught, but it spit up a '56 Volkswagon.

Why anyone would want a membership to B.A.S.S. is beyond me; let alone a lifetime membership. :

Bass Pro Sneaky?
I agree with Stasher1. If you order anything from BPS online you can be assured that BPS will be sending you catalog after catalog, and flyer after flyer.

Having been there and done that, I would remind you of Trace Atkins' song "You're Gonna Miss This."

The CCC
The CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) was one of FDR's stimulus packages, designed to help usher the U.S. out of the Great Depression. My Dad worked for the CCC as a young man. Gosh, I just realized that Obama is a copy-cat.

What's up Fedex?
One of the big problems is that Fedex, UPS and the like have automated conveyor systems. Any long/over-sized package will jam up the conveyor system so it has to be handled by hand. The system generally work pretty well until the package gets to its final sorting station for loading onto the trucks. The employees here generally work at least two jobs and, for the most part, are part-timers who work from say 2 to 7 AM. They are always tired, overworked, and generally have a bad attitude. Most of these employees last three months or less. Do you think these people give a rat's azz about your package? A friend of mine once worked the graveyard shift at one of these final sorting stations. The horror stories were amazing.

Bass Pro Sneaky?
I went to my local BPS to purchase an item (can't remember what it was) I found on sale on their website. When I went to check out I showed the clerk a print-out of the on-sale item. She then proceeded to get a little snotty and told me that the store did not honor prices that were posted on the BPS site. It was then a case of "Wanna bet? Call your manager." Needless to say, I bought the item at the price noted on the print-out.

Beware of UPS when shipping rods....
Gomer, I can't speak for any other the other members, but I feel that your use of large, bold text is unnecessary and very distracting from other posts on the thread. If you would revert to standard text, I for one, would very much appreciate it.

Bow Mount Electronics
The GPS unit on the 522 updates itself once per second. I think that's pretty much the standard with all GPS units. Bear in mind that, on a good day, the accuracy of one of the units is only plus or minus fifty feet. If it is receiving a WAAS signal that inaccuracy will be reduced by half.
