  1. OK, it's waaay too early to start this, but if you have made FIRM reservations for a cabin or a room, PM me with your name the names of your roomies who have made FIRM commitments and I will start compiling the list. If you have beds available, include that in your post. Every once in a while I will post the information on this forum. I will not post the names of those folks who would like to attend, will probably attend, or those who almost, probably, for sure, might attend. In other words, put your money up or shut up for a few more months.
  2. If the plug in the front is a standard AC plug, then all you have to do is plug in your extension cord and the batteries will be recharged by the on-board charger - assuming that the previous owner hasn't removed the charger.
  3. Muddy, the state record remains intact. :'( Four dinks is all I could muster. Michelle43, I am NOT a representative of this forum. I'm simply a road trip coordinator. That means I volunteered to do a bunch of crap that the true Representatives didn't have time for. There is no way that Glenn would allow me to reach such an exalted position as a true Representative in any form. You probably will not believe this, but my attempts at wit sometimes appear to others as sarcasm. +Thank you for taking the time to castigate me. I am humbled beyond measure.+
  4. Muddy, wait until I sell my shirt on ebay. I've got a house payment coming up. ;D
  5. Muddy, the quest for the state record LMB begins at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow. Ken, eat your heart out. I have two of those shirts. One has never been worn. I'm thinking about putting it up for sale on e-bay. Minimum bid - $3,000. ;D
  6. I hope I catch as many bass tomorrow as the number of mullets I caught on this thread.
  7. Fourbizz, the proper analogy would be "If someone dropped an ash on my front porch." On the scale of things it would be so minute as to be unnoticeable. However, you've given me an idea. I now know how to get rid of my old lead-acid batteries. I used to take them for legal disposal. I think now I will just throw them into the lake.
  8. Let me know when someone does the research to find out how many cigarette butts it would take to poison a lake of say, 20,000 acres. In the meantime, I will continue to flick my butts into the water. If this is of great concern to you, let me know and I will start marking a waypoint on my GPS every time I flick a butt. After I get off the lake I'll provide you with the exact coordinates to enable you to search for those nasty, poisonous, polluting little cigarette butts. :
  9. Since you are new to the sport, if I were you I would shop around for spinning reel/rod combos in your price range. Cabellas and Bass Pro Shops offer these deals all the time. At this stage in your development, the rod is more important than the reel. I would look for a 6' 6" Medium/Light or Medium action rod. The reel should have at least six bearings.
  10. His request approved, the Fox News photographer quickly used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight. He was told a twin engine plane would be waiting for him at the airport. Arriving at the airfield, he spotted a plane warming up outside a hanger. He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut, and shouted, "Let's go." The pilot taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off. Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, "Fly over the valley and make some low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides." "'Why?" asked the pilot. "Because I'm a photographer for Fox Cable News," he responded.. "And I need to get some close up shots." The pilot was strangely silent for a moment. Finally he stammered, "So, what you're telling me is . . . You're NOT my Flight Instructor?"
  11. I replaced my '89 Pro 17 with an '04 TV-18. The difference is night and day. Not only is the TV-18 longer, it's almost two feet wider. The difference in stability is amazing. My fishing buddy and I both tip the scales at well over two hundred pounds. We can each move about the boat with minimal disturbance to the other. The primary reason I replaced my Pro 17 was due to it's lateral instability. At this point I feel I made a very wise decision. Further, the modified deep-V hull on the TV-18 is another reason I opted for the boat. It handles rough water extremely well. I'm no speed demon, but even at 45 mph, I have no fear of potential spinal, kidney damage resulting from pounding over the water. The boat doesn't pound over the water, it cuts through it. Yet another reason why I feel I made a wise decision.
  12. Contact your Tracker dealer and let them know what you need. They can be very helpful. I was able to obtain the schematics for my old '89 Tracker by doing so.
  13. Strategeries? Love it! Have you been watching SNL? ;D
  14. Glen, with all due respect I have to disagree with your assessment of Tracker boats. I am referring specifically to the Trackers, not the Nitros or Tahoes. In my opinion, your opinion of Trackers stems from the old riveted boats. As you well know, I had a 1989 Tracker Pro 17. I loved that old boat, but many of the rivets leaked and it was too small in the event of bad weather. You will have to admit though, it was a pretty good old boat. Tracker finally learned their lesson and started selling all welded hulls. I'm pretty sure that move took care of about 98% of their QC problems. Their hulls now have a lifetime, transferable warranty against defects. Nowadays, I'm fishing from a 2004 Tournament V-18. It's welded hull is completely water tight. It has a 150hp Mercury hanging off the transom, which doesn't flex in the slightest. All of the gauges work perfectly. The trailer is fully galvanized. I could go on and on, but you get my point. Also, my local BPS has a Tracker dealership located on premises, complete with repair shop.
  15. With the exception of the trolling motor mount, I built all the boards myself with nothing more than a jig-saw. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll send you the plans.
  16. A guy walked into the local Welfare Office to pick up his check. He marched straight up to the counter and said, "Hi. You know, I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd really rather have a job." The social worker behind the counter said, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur and bodyguard for his beautiful daughter. You'll have to drive around in his 2009 Mercedes-Benz CL, and he will supply all of your clothes. Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll also be expected to escort the daughter on her overseas holiday trips. This is rather awkward to say but you will also have, as part of your job assignment, to satisfy her sexual urges as the daughter is in her mid-20's and has a rather strong sex drive. A two-bedroom loft type apartment with plasma TV, stereo, bar, etc. located above the garage, will be designated for your sole use and the salary is $200,000 a year." The guy, just plain wide-eyed, said, "You're ***tin' me!" The social worker said, "Yeah, well . You started it."
  17. My suggestion is to do your own homework. A simple google search will provide you with all the information you would need about bimini tops. As for an indoor boat cover, buy the cheapest you can get. Try Walmart.
  18. FA Q ;D "FA Q." Now THAT was funny! LMAO!
  19. 1. I'm very sorry for your loss. I like the way the Arabs handle theft. If you get caught stealing, they cut off your hand. 2. It's Pflueger, not Flueger. If your BPS reel is an Extreme bait caster, it's also a Pflueger. It's an almost exact copy of the President reel. 3. For you naysayers, Pflueger reels, and by association, the BPS Extremes, are some of the finest reels you can buy for the money. Also for you naysayers, I have the following wish: May your hair be invested with lice; may your armpits be infested with fleas; may your crotch be infested with crabs; may your ankles be infested with chiggers. I mean this in the nicest possible way.
  20. I would opt for the tan/green seat. The quality seems to be much better. e.g. triple stitched seams.
  21. My vote goes to Dual Pro as well. I have had two reconditioned models on two separate boats. Both have worked flawlessly. I have heard that Guest makes an excellent product as well.
  22. Alan, at long last, welcome to the forum. It's about time that you cured yourself from your rectal/cranial inversion syndrome. Catt is the guy who came by the cabin briefly last year.
  23. No one wants to see you and Kent wearing skirts. Well, so much for the surprise entertainment.
  24. I'm bisexual ambidextrous. Because I can easily cast with either hand, I had special reels designed with the crank mounted on the top of the reel.
