You're Invited to the 5th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
I want to reiterate that the $50 registration fee covers dinner at the banquet on Wednesday ONLY. No other meals are included. The hotel serves a buffet meal in the evenings. We are hoping that, on Monday and Tuesday, the attendees will take advantage of the buffet (at your cost) and then dine together in a private dining room adjoining the restaurant. Unconfirmed rumors are that dancing girls will be present.

Lily pads. I lost the biggest fish I never saw while fishing them.

Close Call Today
Sorry, I tried to read your post, but it was written with only two sentences. About halfway through the first sentence my brain started to hurt, so I gave up trying to read any further. :

You just never know who is in the crowd
The nature of my business (marble restoration) provides me with the opportunity of working in the homes of many rich people. With very few exceptions, these people are just plain folks who worked their butts off to make it where they are today. Usually they remain just plain folks. Occasionally, the money affects their egos and they start talking down to people as if they were slaves. I have surprised a few of the egoists by telling them I don't want their business.

Anyone bass fish with a Deep V?
Although it has no center console, I would suggest that you take a hard look at the Tracker Tournament V-18. It has a modified deep-V hull (not as deep as a deep V) that handles rough water very well, is wide and very stable. Mine has an adjustable seat that makes it much easier to get in and out of the "****-pit."

You're right Ken. I had the first hip replaced after my fall during the Lake Fork road trip and the second one replaced after my fall on the Guntersville trip. The BR road trips can be brutal on us seniors.

Are You Forgetting Stuff These Days???
Did you forget where you put the link... Don't worry about it. Everybody loses a cuff link every now and then. Uh, you were talking about cuff links weren't you?

Cart7t, yes we get a discount on the nurse care, but the downside is that our walkers will constantly be getting tangled with each other. It will be a miracle if no one falls and breaks a hip. :-/

C'mon guys we are still nine months away. Sharkbite, not to worry. If you don't have the coin to reserve the cabin yourself, just keep broadcasting - like once a week. Eventually, without a doubt, you will find a roomie. The problem with reserving a room by credit card at this early date is that you are charged immediately for the reservation, i.e. about $120. Admittedly, your room mates pay you back at the end of the trip, but you've got to suck up the financial outlay for some nine months. For some of us that's not a problem. For others of us, that can cause a real financial squeeze. That's when you want to start shopping for roomies, and requesting a deposit to cover your deposit.

They don't build 'em like this anymore
Demolition plan. 1. Blow out the front and rear supports simultaneously. 2. Watch building fall vertically. 3. If you are really stupid, blow out the front legs, wait a few seconds, and then blow out the back legs. 4. If option Three is selected, Watch the building roll like a ball. 5. If option One is selected, attend a party hosted by the Contractor, meet some honeys, and get pasted. 6. If option Three is selected, watch the Contractor sue your ***, and then go bankrupt trying to clean up the mess you made.

Sharkbite, four guys sharing the cost of a cabin is MUCH cheaper than two guys sharing a room at the lodge. i.e. $29.77 a day each vs $42.94.

Great Places For Bass
I've found that almost all of the larger bass hang out in the water.

To leader or not to leader
I fish with braid on all my rods and I always use a flouro leader. Whether the bass care or not, the leader gives me a break-off point if I get hung up.

any tile installers--a ?
You can walk on your new tile the first thing tomorrow morning. Multibond sets up in about five hours. I'm not a tile setter, but I know a few of them very well. They are in their late thirties and all are looking for a new line of work.

Advice on GPS
I concur with the suggestion for the Lowrance H2O-C. Yes, the screen is small, but the zoom feature allows for easy navigation. You will need a Navionics or Fishing Hot Spots chip to navigate on any lakes.
