  1. They’ve changed limits lots of times throughout history. Live bait fishing was going to kill all our Muskie on melton hill in 2008, they still kickin and live bait is still legal. Dahlberg even tried to get it and a bait shop shut down on a TV show
  2. Caught too many to count, kept some. They were up on the mud wrecking stuff
  3. That’s your tale, I’m sitting on mine. Buck Perry trolled up a bunch of fish out of that sanctuary a long time ago, and I do it too with an anchor and triangulation. They swim around and eat fish out there
  4. @MN Fisher, be sure to white out the words bass trek and put bluegill trek on there to keep matters straight with DNR
  5. metabolism schmetabolism
  6. you almost sound like you’re saying habitat is the limiting factor in growing large bass……..
  7. I got a feeling we might have worked at the same spot 😂
  8. High school: Slung clay pigeons at a gun range, packaged coffee college: cut grass got a degree in wildlife/fisheries science did wildlife damage control M-F for 17 yrs (private company) while guiding instructing fly fishing at a resort on weekends. When pandemic arrived I wasn’t sure if I was essential or not so I picked up a food delivery job to fill in gaps last summer started working weekends at an adventure center downtown renting kayaks canoes paddle boards mountain bikes e bikes etc. Already worked some for them this spring Had to quit wildlife career last month due to lack of pay and been working nights in a warehouse while looking for jobs, got one pending. Still delivering food to fill in money gaps
  9. We have tons of Bradford blooming all over the roads and I have an extremely bloomed out magnolia bush in my backyard. Weeping willows already have green leaves
  10. I’ve done that nearly every time I take my wife’s kayak, not used to bringing a seat in my canoe haha. I’ve sat on my cooler each time, not quite so comfy
  11. I took a kid bluegill fishing Monday to a very popular crappie area. People were livescoping in all directions. Kid caught 12-15 bluegill in the exact same spot with no depth finder in 30 minutes
  12. Crappiescope is what they originally called it and I know you have it 😂 every crappie fisherman I see has it lifted about 3 feet off the deck
  13. I’ll let ya know when all the panfish are gone. Crappie don’t live long or get released and they’ve been scoped and filleted for a few generations, you seen what @Team9nine hauls in? they reduced our crappie limits 25 yrs ago from 30 to 15. As always, all about habitat
  14. Thats too rich for my blood. I get 10 for around $2.50
  15. Cousins is a free agent? He could do some damage in Seattle. Maybe a 1-2 yr deal since he’s already 36
  16. @ol'crickety, Four Fish is yet another good book on that cod topic but also discusses European sea bass, salmon, and some other fish I forgot. But as @gimruisstated that’s using nets . Any fish biologist will tell you humans with rod and reel can’t destroy fish populations
  17. @Nitro 882 I don’t think the guy you are referring to is concerned about the bass because he’s still out there catching them everyday, he smashed a school of 8-12 lbers with a crankbait this week . If he actually thought they would all be gone, he’s shooting himself in the foot everyday
  18. That was a pictogram of my manufacturer recommendation. If it’s always best to follow the recommendation then why does someone keep telling me to put ethanol in my gas tank!??!!!!! Every day we stray further and further……… 😂
  19. Come on guys it’s Milan. I’ve been to that metropolis
  20. I use the worms but the jigheads are outrageously priced
  21. You thinking it will be Drew Locke or geno that takes the Seahawks to 2 super bowls?? Now there’s a perspective
  22. You only have to turn down a few dozen extra items before continuing to checkout……… my phone overheated
