  1. It’s always a bummer to see dogs given up by their humans, but thankfully she came back to you two.
  2. Like @A-Jay said, the hard water season. The other would be not being able to go as much as I’d like to.
  3. I took the picture before I got in there. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to see me in the shower washing a dog. I hope not anyways.
  4. I have a couple dozen lakes within 30 minutes from me. I typically drive no more than 15 minutes.
  5. It would either be the 100 or the 150. If they’re fragile maybe I’ll just fill the spool with cheap mono, tape the line off, and add my main line then.
  6. I’m looking for a low capacity spool for one of my Tatula reels. I’m looking to turn it into a skipping/pitching reel. Where’s a good site to go that has either Daiwa or aftermarket spools?
  7. Tonight was shower night for Hank. Unfortunately for me, Hank can’t wash himself so it was actually shower night for Hank and me.
  8. This question came up a week or so ago but I’m not sure where it went. Anyways, I think the consensus was it’ll cost about $100-150/hr.
  9. The old saying rings true, money is the root of all evil and brings the worst out in most.
  10. I’ve seen of those DNR shows where people lose their license in one state and can’t get one in others. It’s not a nation wide thing and it was for game violations but maybe they do for fish violations as well.
  11. It was a boat they had previously won.
  12. One of them still has pending legal troubles stemming from knowingly giving his kid counterfeit $100 bills. The worst part is he did this after the whole cheating scandal. The dude can’t get out of his own way! Worse yet, he was dragging his own kid into it and teaching him it was ok to be a fraud and commit fraud.
  13. More than I thought it would be. Jail time is usually unheard of for fish and game violations. The fine is pretty weak.
  14. Wow, that's pretty wild! 10lb line is quite impressive, and the fact that the fish is estimated to be around 57 years old.
  15. Week 3 trip 6 Sunday morning was another perfect morning. We sat in the blind where we saw the hens the morning before. On the way in we heard a pack of coyotes far off to the east. We had the usual geese and sandhill cranes in the corn field. After a bit I saw a critter walking about that was a bird but not a goose or a crane. It got close enough that I realized it was a hen! Shortly after that I heard a hen behind us by the swamp and further behind us I heard a faint gobble. The hen in the field hung out for quite a while and I was certain there would be a tom pop out looking for a date. As I'm scanning the tree line waiting for a big tom something catches my eye. It was a coyote! I thought for sure it would either go after the hen or our decoy, so I told 6poundbass to grab his gun and get ready. As quickly as I saw him he was gone. Thankfully the hen didn't notice and she didn't miss a beat looking for food. After she passed on through we got up and checked out a couple of other fields with luck. My hunch that this past weekend was going to be our last good chance seems to be accurate. I spoke to my stepdad late that morning and he said he hasn't seen or heard any while hunting but did see some on other property and they were henned up. I've seen a few different one in my travels this week and it's just a tom with a few hens so I'm guessing they're henned up everywhere now. I'm thinking I'm going to pull the plug on the 2023 spring turkey hunt and start fishing now which I'm good with and sounds like 6poundbass is too. Maybe, just maybe I'll get a wild hair and make another trip or two out to see if I can find one I can stalk and get close enough for a shot. That's if the bass aren't cooperating.
  16. Hello and welcome to Bassresourse. Glad you found us!
  17. I would think the only ones that would be interested in it or even know who he is/was would be anglers so it would be a limited market and I'd guess not very valuable.....I've been known to be wrong though. ?
  18. Welcome to Bassresource
  19. The first year we were together we kept a rolling tally how many bass each one of us caught per outing. I didn’t carry that into year number two. In my defense, I was taking her fish off and running a hand control trolling motor so I didn’t get as much fishing time as her. ?
  20. You know, this is a public forum and she can read this without being a member? lol For a few lures I, as a moderator can remove this post so she doesn't see it. ?
  21. I've never fished Megabass lures but I've read that the 110's can be pretty fragile around rocks so maybe these are on par with the real 110's?
  22. Dang Mike 30-50%? Friendly reminder, you still need to put on your table. ?
