  1. Was wondering the same thing,,,been using Creapure as it is supposedly 100% pure. Creatine might be the most researched supplement and one of the most beneficial with the least side effects of any of the supplements.
  2. I've never caught a fish on a Whopper Plopper, I caught one 12' bass on a chatterbait, pretty sure I've never caught on a lipless.
  3. Hit up a semi-local reservoir that is now back to capacity after being drawn down for dam repairs. Totally different now than the last 2 years. Tried hitting some of the shallower areas and coves where I've caught in the past but it wasn't happening. Water clarity was about 10', here it's usually around 15' to 20'. Went in search mode in deeper water and put on the drop shot. Found fish in 25' to 35' foot of water and was able to land 12 fish, 5 Smallies, 4 Largemouths, 2 Bluegills and a Rock Bass. 3 of the Smallies were decent fish, rest were on the smaller side. Just happened to be a brewery near the reservoir, had to stop and have a black lager................
  4. Jades Jigs has a 20% off, free shipping over 25$ Lead free jigs, highly recommend these and quick shipping ; https://jadesjigs.com/
  5. For me it's that I can actually see the blades when cutting, So yes for these old eyes I can get a good precision cut, sorta ocd on trimming my knots,
  6. Long, I do the same and try and cut fluoro and mono near the tip, braid further back. It's attached to my life vest as I'm 100% kayak fisherman. I also have the Cuda scissors that I use either on my bench or at the campsite.
  7. Gadabout Gaddis, the Flying Fisherman, first person on TV in my area. Charlie Brewer, his do-nothing system fit in with my life style. Fishing Facts crew, can't think of one particular guy though. Rick Clunn, like his whole outlook, and someone who is actually older than me still fishing
  8. I'm guessing a 3.5, strictly a paddle kayak fisherman. Only electronics are a 2d sonar with a Navionics Lake and a inshore saltwater maps . Max amount of rods is 4 depending on where and what I'm fishing for. No net most of the time, only if fluke fishing the salt, those are food fish. Do have a handheld VHF radio, mostly for talking to others I'm fishing with. Hopefully I never need to call channel 16, but that is only useful in the salt where I fish
  9. I'm trying for in between the ying and yang
  10. The common suckers I've caught here in NJ had a more slender body. I didn't see that buffalo's were near here in their range listings. I did submit an email with the photos to the NJ fish and game freshwater division, I'll update if I get a response.
  11. Thanks roadwarrior, I've been fishing for over 60 years living in New Jersey and I've never seen one. I thought at first it was a huge smallmouth until I finally was able to see white fins coming up by the yak. Part of the fun of fishing is you never know what you might have on the end of the line
  12. I just got back from a 5 day camping/fishing trip on the Delaware River. Caught a lot of smallmouths, largemouths and some american shad. But I caught this one fish that didn't look like any other carp I've caught, can anyone tell me exactly what it is?
  13. Well, another rainy day here in Northern New Jersey at 48 degrees ............. Time to empty out some of the aged beers I've been storing.
  14. Well you guys are killing me with all these pictures and reports...... Here in North Jersey we finally got a break from the constant rain we've had, my local river is just under flood stage. I had to get out on my kayak for just a shakedown cruise to make sure everything is working Hit up a glacial lake here as the temps were in the 70's with little wind. Just brought minimal tackle as I got a late start, wound up going old school with a floating Rapala and landed a Pickerel, lost one and had 5 follows, was just great to get out.
  15. Never eat White Castle Jalapeno burgers the night before fishing
  16. Going through a lot of tackle that I've accumulated over many years I came across these. At the time they were the thing, I did catch some on it but we usually able to get live ones, live ones were unreal, we had times where that would be the only thing they would hit, it was like magic throwing them where you would have thought there were no fish.
  17. Small often used tools I stick in a foam block, screw drivers, picks,X-acto knives, brushes, files and most importantly my magnifying glass. As Bankc said a towel is used when disassembling reels to stop the dreaded bounce, still haven't figured out the sprung spring though. Empty egg carton for keeping the parts in order.
  18. Well I got nothing to add, being as I'm more the nail then hammer. There is a lot of great info here, maybe that team 99 guy will add some too.
  19. Yeah, the Neko baits are made out of some type of elaztech stuff.
  20. herder replied to TnRiver46's topic in Tournament Talk
Put it on and right off the bat they had a split screen of Kyoya and John Cox, talk about yin and yang
  21. Striper fishing I hit an area where they were absolutely smashing a white Storm Wildeye. Snapped one off on the cast and hastily tied on another one, then proceeded to miss the next bunch of hits, then I saw that I forgot to take off the rubber hook guard 🤪
