  1. No, you're fine up to about 1/2 oz + trailer. 8-)
  2. The difference between gravy and sauce? 8-)
  3. It's PRIMETIME for smallmouth on the Tennessee River! ;D ;D ;D
  4. Welcome aboard! Maybe this combination, but I would be patient, BPS has their combos on sale all the time: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_94774_100003000_100000000_100003000_100-3-0 8-)
  5. That's for sure!
  6. Well, my simple answer is this: For "most" bass fishing, the 2000/2500 series reels are perfect. For "light" rigs, the 1000 series is a better compliment (size and weight). 8-)

    Welcome aboard! 8-)
  8. Stearns & Foster offer exceptional mattress sets. This website also has tips on what to look for when selecting a new bed: http://www.stearnsandfoster.com/guidance.aspx 8-)
  9. When the hole you are in gets deep enough, quit digging. We don't care anything about a 12 lb fish substituting for a 28 lb bass. Everyone is aware of the Budweiser Share Lunker program and the fact that Texas produces significant numbers of trophy bass. :
  10. Finesse: Spinning tackle Power fishing: Baitcasting gear 8-)
  11. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  12. Why are you trying to pick a fight on a post that is nearly a year old? I'm not putting down anyone. The "best value" in the Shimano line-up is either the Symetre or Stradic. I have made that statement consistantly over the years. If the question were "favorite spinning reel" my choice would be the Stella.
  13. Spinnerbaits are reaction lures. Scents don't come into play. 8-)
  14. [movedhere] Fishing Tackle [move by] roadwarrior.
  15. Wow! What a game. Big XII Rules! 8-)
  16. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1230584371 8-)
  17. Another option for heavier treble hook lures and deep divers is a rod designed by Skeet Reese: Lamiglas SR705R on sale at Cabelas. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0037314120919a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=sr705r&sort=all&Go.y=5&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&Go.x=13&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 8-)

  19. I would go with the CH50MG on sale. http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SHCSF50.html 8-)
  20. "Fishing Articles" is the place to start, then "Tacklebox" also at the top. We have a thread currently running a few lines down in this section, "All Time Favorites", which I'm sure you will find helpful, too. 8-)
  21. Many Shimano fans think the Symetre is the best value. The Stradic 2500FI was awarded ICAST "Best In Class". I would recommend the Stradic 2500FI, but both reels are outstanding: Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. 8-)
  22. The wife has a constant flow of appetizers throughout the football games. Later, ham & beans (remnants of a Honey Baked Ham & northern beans) with sweet cornbread. Thirty minutes 'till beer-o-clock! 8-)
  23. Man, that fish is gorgeous! ;D ;D ;D
