Grease and Oil for Pflueger and Bass pro reels
Go to ReelMech's website for recommendations, he has posted his preferences quite often. I for one would follow his advice, he has been at this for awhile. : 8-)

Is rod sensitivity "over rated" for many techniques?
I noticed St. Croix now makes a line of Crankbait rods in their Avid series. I think the equivalent to the AC66MF would be their AVC66MM. I'm wondering if this new rod would be the "ideal" treble hook rod. It seems very tempting... Yes! I suspect this would be an ideal rod for treble hooks. 8-)

So I'm Googling for info on the Fenwick Techna AV, and what do I see?
I agree, the Fenwick Techna AV is a nice series. I have an AVS70MM that I primarily use to fish jerkbaits at night. Baitcasting is more than I like to deal with in the dark! : 8-)

Help choosing a bream/crappie spinning setup
For a better "all-around" rod for light fishing, the St. Croix Avid AS66MLF would be an outstanding buy, on sale for around $100. I would suggest matching this up with a Stradic 1000FH if you can find that on sale, too. With a little luck, you might be able to put this package together for less than $150. Some of our members have found the Avids for as little as $65 and there are lots of deals on the discontinued Stradics. Good luck! 8-)

Help with high water trout...
Regardless of the water level, trout will always stage in deep pools. If you know the river, fish where you have found trout before, some will stay and others will join them. 8-)

Best winter smallmouth lures?
Earlier in this thread, I suggested that grubs are #1. I posted a couple of pics in the "Outings" section from last weekend. My smallmouth were all caught on a GYCB Single-Tail Grub, 3" Blue Pearl w/ Large Silver Flakes (031). 8-)
