  1. I have had good luck with the Rage Tail Menace, Siebert Jigs/ Rage Craw and BPS Tender Tubes #71.
  2. My brother and I fished Toledo Bend for a week this spring. I did not lose any lures and neither of us had a break-off.
  3. For topwater I fish the G. Loomis GLX PR844C (popping rod). For jerkbaits I like a shorter rod. I now have a custom, but for years I fished a St. Croix Avid AVC66MF which has a soft tip.
  4. Worm binder https://www.walmart.com/ip/Berkley-14-x-9-Soft-Bait-Binder/33607329?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&adid=22222222227022625366&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=40971773072&wl4=pla-78914955392&wl5=9013543&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla_with_promotion&wl10=8175035&wl11=online&wl12=33607329&wl13=&veh=sem
  5. Not really...I use remnants which are basically free. For dedicated line Seaguar Red Label will work just fine.

  7. A "Go-To" lure for me. I have my best luck white on white using a Rage Tail Structure Bug for the trailer. My most productive presentation is a steady slow roll just off the bottom, occasionally ticking cover and structure.
  8. And there is more in our library.
  9. One example is Z-Man Chatterbait. The original is still VERY popular and relatively cheap (both in terms of price and quality). For a little more you get their "Project Z" which has MUCH better components. http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/sportsmans/Z-Man-Project-Z-ChatterBait/productDetail/Skirted-Jigs/prod99999049916/cat101093?ref=google?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shoppingfeeds&utm_term=1448136&utm_campaign=GDF&gdffi=956ae87823e94c98adceb63322121bc0&gdfms=6A7A84E520724DAC98B810F6BA835F17&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItKSjiuDZ1QIVlIqzCh2_wAHjEAQYBSABEgKpZPD_BwE
  10. Spending time on the water is the best way to learn, but we have a VERY extensive library and a huge selection of instructional videos. Here is one to start with: https://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ Welcome aboard!

    Welcome aboard!
  15. Little ponds dry up occasionally. My most productive pond is a neighborhood around 13 acres. I still catch some nice bass, but my "pet" was removed last year by some jerk. When taken she weighed 10.4 lbs.
  16. Not necessarily my all time favorite, but this was a fun read I just finished: http://www.michaelcrichton.com/dragon-teeth/
  17. For the most part I use what is left as a remnant on a spool of fluorocarbon line. #6 or #8 is probably all you need, but you can go heavier if you like. If you decide to buy a dedicated spool, Seaguar Red Label is fine for leader line.
  18. 7' spinning tackle, M/F, #6 Yo-Zuri Hybrid. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html
  19. My PB (smallmouth) is pictured in my avatar. That was January 2005. Still hunting for 12 lbs 1 oz.
