  2. Well, these aren't that fish, but here are a few from the same water: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html 8-)
  3. Here are some pictures from January, 2005. These fish were caught the Saturday before the two in my avatar. On this outing, I caught fifteen smallmouth, eight over 5 lbs. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html 8-)
  4. The comparison of the CI4 to the Stella was in terms of feel and initial performance. Many features that previously were only available on the Stella have been incorporated into the new Stradic. Rest assured I will not be replacing my Stellas anytime soon, but the CI4 seems like a great reel. Shimano continues to build on the solid reputation of the Stradic line. This would be my recommendation for spinning reel under $200. 8-)
  5. LaCrosse rubber boot: http://www.shoebuy.com/lacrosse-alphaburly-sport-insulated-18-800g-200-green/181925/409247?cm_mmc=cj-showcase-_-none-_-none-_-none For colder weather, Sorel: http://www.sorel.com/mens-boots/men,default,sc.html

  10. I own the BCR854. For jigs, it is the ONE!. 8-)
  11. Yes. Outstanding. However, Glenn has suggested replacing the skirt with a lumaflex. That is all I am going to fish this year. 8-)
  12. Nothin' to talk about! 8-)
  13. I'll be interested about what the ladies have to say, But this is how I kept my daughter interested: CATCH A BUNCH OF FISH! My partner, Speedy, and I set up on white bass and let her reel them in. After a hundred or so, she decided to sunbathe, then came back for more! Most importantly, a few hours were plenty and I had her back in time for a date with her boyfriend. Bottom line: Cast & crank; catch some fish; make it short. p.s. Some girls will like to fish, most won't. Get over it. 8-)
  14. Man that "How To" video is pitiful. Dude needs some help with background, not his fat face. Half the time you can't even see what he is doing. Here is the simple solution: http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtml 8-)
  15. Loading has been extremely slow both at work and at home. This morning all issues were resolved at home and again on my work computer. I'm back home now and this thing is fast as lightning! 8-)
  16. I posted this a day or two ago when -nick- was running a thread looking for suggestions: Everyone I know that has purchased the new Stradic 2500CI4 is impressed. My initial reaction is that the reel seems comparable to the Stella 2500FD at about 1/3 the cost! http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast09shimanoreels.html 8-)
  17. When the weather warms up, this will get you started: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 8-)
  18. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  19. Pick colors you like. At times a certain color may be important, but it usually doesn't matter. I like "dark". 8-)
  20. Alberto's Knot: http://www.stripersonline.com/Pages/Articles/article_arby_albertos_knot.shtml 8-)
  21. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  22. Bomber Square A, Norman Fat Boy. I caught my PB largemouth on a Fat Boy, redear pattern.
  23. I think you should consider higher end rods for jigs and soft plastics. Everything else can be fished just fine on less expensive equipment. On the high end I fish G. Loomis GLX and St. Croix Legend Elite. The majority of my rods are Avids. 8-)
  24. No, but the JDM reels I have seem to preform just like the domestic counterparts based on my limited experience (Metanium and Scorpion). 8-)
