  1. Thats freaking awesome, hope you catch some biggins
  2. I think this would be more of a argument if the question was, Abu vs Lews or Abu vs Quantum or something Shimano is the king of reels(not too sure about their rods) and thats generally accepted by everyone in the fishing world lol
  3. Hi

Welcome and thank you for your service sir!
  4. a blackmax is a very popular reel, especially at that price range and many people give it praise. If It wasn't reliable and a crappy reel, I don't think much people would be using it.
  5. You can't beat it for 20 bucks, heck I'll fish with a pink rod if it came down to it!
  6. Honestly I don't think your clothes are gonna have much effect on if fish can see you or not. But with that said, if wearing camo or certain colors give you confidence to catch more fish go for it! F
  7. First baitcasting rod was a st croix bass X, something about it just didn't feel right to me, sold it to a local in a week. Fast forward to today, i have multiple dobyns rods ranging from fury to champions. Havent found anything better, love how they feel and they catch me fish lol. At the end of the day, both companys are fantastic, just boils down to which one feels better in your hands.
  8. Spinning , reel in with my left baitcaster reel in with my right
  9. Either a little under 5 or right at it! Nice fish man
  10. Merry christmas and a happy new year yall!
  11. Fake, quick and easy
  12. Thats different man, I love it!
  13. My vote would be 4 for the multi purpose, and probably 2 for treble hook lures, although 1 would'nt be a bad choice either for treble hook lures.
  14. Thats crazy, never seen that ever!
  15. Out of what you said, I think the Lews Tournament MB would be the best bang for your buck. Typically I preach Shimano and Lews as making the best baitcasting reels. The Curado K is a nice reel as well, I have the older I version though.
  16. How I've always looked at it, just don't exceed the top number as it may be too much for the rod. If you go below the bottom number, you should be straight, just won't load up as well.
  17. Looks funky, pretty neat tho lol
  18. You're absolutely right buddy! And it's the same with me, I did'nt get into fishing till I was 18, and I'm barley gonna be 21 soon. Like I said these guys appeal to the younger crowd as far as the jokes they make, how they handle themselves and stuff of that nature. Like I saw in some other comments in this thread, some of them (won't put out names) are pretty annoying, but hey its worth watching them in the end. Great content and like you said they mix in some greats tips for fishing in there as well. On a different note, I did order a couple packs of the mondo worm(10 inch) and I absolutley love the action! Only have used it once, did'nt catch anything as I was only out for about 30 minutes, but plan on using it in the future, with a bullet weight.
  19. I know a lot of yall may not like the googan guy, but they appeal to the young generations including mine lol
  20. Wouldn't be a bad idea, I know on like tacklewarehouse I believe they have a program where you can get certain rods/reels from listed companys (shimano, abu garcia, lews etc) as a trial. Not so much renting, but sorta in the same ball park.
