As far as what A-Jay uses I had never seen or heard of it until recently on this site. But I have seen a lot of things on here I had never heard of.

I failed to mention that I switched colors using Baby Brush Hogs. Using the exact same bait but different colors. I don't know why but I don't have any luck using watermelon red.

I've had good luck with the Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw. I am starting to like the Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw. I had good luck with these when I used them.

I haven't been fishing for almost 3 weeks. I don't handle extreme heat well anymore. Between the heat and loads of rain and high muddy water I gave up. May get to go next week as it is supposed to be cooler and little chance of rain.

I have a spool of Red label floro in 8lb. test. I use it for leaders and it has been in my boat for 4 or 5 years and it is still good. I have not had any problems with it so far.

I guess now he will start charging for autographs. I won't pay for it.

6' Pro Qualifier rod Medium fast. Daiwa 2500 Fuego reel. 10lb. mono main line. 3' Red Label floro leader. This also gets used for dropshot and other light weight presentations.

I believe at times color does make a difference. I saw an article years ago about color choices. For soft plastics if the water has decent visibility and the sun is out use watermelon seed colors. If it is cloudy go with green pumpkin. There seems to be some merit to this. I was catching fish pretty good one time on watermelon seed color. It got cloudy and I couldn't get a bite. I switched to green pumpkin and started catching fish again.

I rig mine up when I get on the water and see what the conditions are. I leave my soft plastics set up but I don't like leaving crankbaits and spinnerbaits tied on all the time. Since I only have a crankbait rod to set up and one for either a spinnerbait, topwater, or swimbait it doesn't take me long to do this.

I had my wife wondering what I was doing one time. I was going fishing with a guy from work that I had never fished with before. We were going to a new lake we had never been to before. He lived closer to the lake and wanted to take his boat. I drove to his house and we went fishing. Imagine my wifes surprise when she finds my boat sitting in the garage. I just honestly forgot to tell her we were taking his boat.

I throw Texas rig soft plastics more than anything. When I throw a jig I have really gotten desperate to get a bite. I get hung up a lot more with jigs so I just don't use them unless I have to.

I like evenings better. Like NittyGritty Boy I am not a morning person. I have fished mornings But I seemed to have better luck in the evenings. I just try to make the best of it when ever I can go.

I usually set mine up as a Texas rig. I use either a 1/16 or 1/8 ounce sinker depending on how deep the area is.

In the world today true customer service is a lost art form. The good ones can help you pick what is best for your needs. Most of them now just want the paycheck and go home. I have run in to both types many times.
