  1. I still use the Zoom U Tail worms and Culprit worms.
  2. I always take a lighter and singe the end where it frays. I also put a drop of super glue on the knot. I am using a Boomerang line cutter on mine.
  3. I have been using Interstate batteries for a long time. I have one group 24 for cranking the outboard motor and the electronics. One group 27 for the trolling motor. I got seven years out of the last ones. I am starting on the third year with the ones I have now.

  6. Like @Scott F I have a 2019 F150. I bought it in 2021 and it had about 23000 miles on it. I let the trucks computer tell me when I need to change oil. I think it has been changed three times since I got it. It has 31000 miles on it now.
  7. Many years ago there was an area on the river I fished a lot. One year I got checked twice in a three weeks. It was a different game warden both times. When I got back in that second time I asked the guy that ran that ramp why they were down here so much. He said they were pulling double duty. They were checking people fishing but were also looking for marijuana fields.
  8. I always fish a Texas rig. Last year every Bass I caught was on a Texas rig. I have always loved crankbaits and spinnerbaits but they are not working for me like they did before.
  9. I guess I am the odd man here. I did like @Bird and put the trailer on jack stands and took the tires and wheels to a Firestone Dealer to get new trailer tires. I did not have them balanced and they have not given me any problems. This is for a Bass Tracker 175. Single axle trailer and 13" tires.
  10. I have been checked by the game wardens several times. They have all been short pleasant interactions. They check my license and usually do a boat inspection to make sure I have life jackets and the fire extinguisher is okay. They have checked me on the river and some creeks. There is one big lake I fish and have never seen one on it. I would like to know when they came up with you had to have a license if you are practicing your casting and not catching anything.

  12. For me it is the Curado 200B. It still use mine some. I need to like @J._Bricker and get some carbontex drag washers for mine.
  13. I like the smaller one. One my largest LMB was caught on it. I haven't used the magnum size much yet. When I have used it I didn't get any bites on it.
  14. It was so cloudy here you couldn't even tell where the sun was supposed to be in the sky. They say the next one we could see is 20 years from now. I hope the nursing home I will probably be in if I last that long will take me out to see it.

  16. @TnRiver46 Thank you for the offer. I'm not driving to Knoxville to get them. Since they still think it will be cloudy with some rain I probably won't need them anyway.
  17. I got to see the one in 2017. This time they are predicting rain and clouds for the day. I don't even have any eclipse glasses now for this one.

  20. Hello and welcome to the forum. There is this creature called The Bait Monkey that will be coming to see you soon. It will have you buying a lot of new rods, reels, and lures. You have now been warned.

  23. I am staying with a shorter rod since I fish from a sitting position not standing up. If I get one it will be used for shaky heads and baits like a centipede or finesse worm on a T-rig with a 1/16oz sinker. Anything with treble hooks gets thrown on a baitcaster.
  24. I am thinking about getting a new spinning rod. I am looking at either a Shimano Convergence or a Lews Speed Stick in a 6'6" medium. I like them for the full cork grip. I don't want one with a split grip. These are not high dollar rods but for what little I get to fish they should be fine. Anybody have any recommendations or opinions on either one? Thanks for any info on them.
