  1. I recently posted about going to the ER to get some hooks taken out. The girl that checked me in said she wished she had saved all the hooks they had taken out over the years. She said one guy came in to get one removed from his tongue. I still haven't figured that one out unless he was trying to eat it.

  4. I fish my Texas rigs slow like most of the others on here. One thing I change is I peg my sinker. I have always preferred to fish fish it that way and had good luck doing it that way.
  5. Didn't mention scaring your wife with it. Guess you don't have a death wish yet.
  6. I didn't know they had safety chains for keeping the boat on the trailer. I also have a Bass Tracker that does not have a safety chain. I have never seen a trailer with safety chains for a bass boat. I could understand using them for larger runabouts and other bigger boats.
  7. I was surprised to see on the weather reports the northern part of the country will have higher heat indexes than we will. Our temps will be low to mid 90s with heat index of 100 to 105. Cold front should be her Monday night to cool us down for a few days. Since I don't handle extreme heat well anymore I won't be fishing for a few days.

  12. 6 months from now you will both be crying about the winter weather again. That will come after you go through all your leaf collection.
  13. I have noticed our Cabelas store has gone downhill since BPS took over. They used to have several good brands and items they had to get rid of so BPS could fill the pegs with their own branded stuff.

  15. I drove about 70 miles yesterday to go to an Academy store to pick up a few small items that nobody else carried. I have Dicks, Cabelas, and Sportsmans Warehouse within 15 minutes from my house. I don't go in any of them unless I have to. There selections are not very good and the prices on most things are way too high.

  17. I fished Hula Poppers years ago. Never caught a fish on one. I see no reason to waste money on another bait I won't have any luck with.

  20. I caught one in the side probably 30 years ago. Caught on a Shad Rap not too long after Rapala first came out with them.

  23. Like @Scott F said raise the front and pull the drain plug. I also cut strip out of an old towel. Push it in the drain opening about 4" or 5" and leave the rest hanging down. It will become a wick and drain the rest of the water out that is too low in the bottom to go out the drain.
  24. At these prices I have to wonder if Plano has been bought out by Megabass?
  25. I bought a pack of motor oil Trick Worms last year and never have used them. Guess I need to try them sometime.
