pee hole wont pee??
Water pumps are supposed to be replaced every three years according to the owners manual on my motor. I had to get one replaced once because the keeper pin came out. I wouldn't use a golf tee to plug it up. I would be afraid of forgetting to take it out when I put it back in the water.

Pb&j?
Most of the time I only use two colors. PB&J or Black&Blue depending on the condition the water is in.

A trailer on a spinnerbait or not?
I never use a trailer on spinnerbaits or buzzbaits. For me they work just fine without them.

Maybe looking for a new reel
If I was trying to throw 1/16 or 1/8 ounce baits I would be using a spinning rod and reel. I don't even attempt to throw anything that light on a baitcaster.

Lets talk about Line.
I use 12# Sufix Siege Mono. That is what I use for at least 75% of my fishing.

IT CAN NOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH
Fished a creek Thursday. No big water or high speed boats running. I saw 8 people in kayaks during the day. None of them had PFD on.

How many techniques did you start with?
I started moistly throwing crankbaits and inline spinners like Shyster and Toni. Lot of members on here that never heard of them. Caught a lot of fish on them but can't get a fish to look at a Rooster Tail. It was along time before I finally started fishing soft plastics. Soft plastics helped me start catching more fish.

Listening to music while bass fishing
I don't listen to music while fishing. The only time I had a radio on the boat was a weather radio to listen to occasionally to check weather conditions. I prefer to let nature be my sounds to listen to. I was fishing a creek the other day. Came across another fellow in his boat fishing. We stopped and talked for a while and had a very nice conversation. That probably wouldn't have happened if either one of us had a radio turned on.

Would this outboard have enough power?
I agree with @Russ E and @Dirtyeggroll about going to a bigger motor. I would look at around a 10HP for your boat. I would think the boat would have a tag on it telling you what the maximum HP rating is. I'm not real familiar with jon boats so they may not have a tag like other boats do.

Some Days!
Around here I have heard people use the term tight eyes when referring to a snake.

Some Days!
We all have bad days. Once in a while I get lucky enough to have a good day. Hope it gets better for you next time you go.

Anyone go leaderless?
I have one spinning setup I recently put braid on just to try it out. I just posted in another thread I use a barrel swivel and about a 2' leader then tie my lure on. I do this to help stop line twist and not have to worry about cutting and retying braid every time I make a change in lures.

Getting rid of line twist on a spinning reel from the bank?
I use a barrel swivel and about a 2' leader then tie my lure on. This has helped stop a lot of line twist problems for me.

FRAUD, TRYING TO USE CARD
I don't have a points card. I got the credit card through the credit union from work I started accounts with before I retired. They are located close to home and have been very helpful when we had problems getting everything taken care of for us.

FRAUD, TRYING TO USE CARD
We had our Visa compromised twice in about two years and the cards never left our possession. Found out the first time when the statement came in. The second time Visa cancelled the card because they new the charges were not normal charges for us. Both times we were covered and it did not cost us anything. We don't use a credit card for anything unless we have to and never order anything online and put the card number on a computer.

Best Hook and size for Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worm
I agree with most of the other posts. Use a 2/0-3/0 offset shank round bend hook. I started using them in a 2/0 for Bay Brush Hogs instead of EWG hooks. My hook up ratio has improved a lot since I changed. I still use an EWG or Skip Gap hook for some soft plastics. Overall the offset shank round bend is a better choice when the plastic is not too thick.
