Thanks for the info. I don't have a smart phone and I still watch tv with antennas. I don't have cable or satellite systems. I already know about fire. It is what people in Mn. use to keep warm in July.

Finally felt like getting back on here to aggravate everyone. Had my first knee replacement surgery near the end of September. Had the second one done the day before Thanksgiving. Still waiting for the pain to completely go away but it will happen eventually. Now I get to go through my second round of physical therapy and so far they are happy with the progress I have made so far.

Thanks to all posting here for making me feel like the old dinosaur I am. I don't have a clue what any of this stuff is you are all talking about.

I agree with @Crestliner2008 about the swivels. I use a 10# mono main line, add a swivel and with about a 24" 8# floro leader. Depending on how you set it up tubes will spiral on the fall causing line twist problems.

I feel sorry for anyone coming to your house to eat for Thanksgiving. I think we need a yuck emoji for that mess.

I would have been the same way. I keep a .22 rifle in the boat with me.

The biggest SMB I can remember catching was around 16" long and about 2 pounds. I was fishing for LMB and not even trying for SMB. I caught it on a Zoom Trick Worm. All of them I have caught have been caught on baits more for LMB than SMB.

I have to agree with @Hulkster. I love 12# Sufix Siege and use it on several baitcasters.

It looks like excellent work to me. I wish I had the talent and ability to do that kind of stuff.

I am a pro at casting. I can make a bad cast in to a good spot with the best of them. I might be a seven with bc gear. About a 6 or maybe a 7 with spinning gear. I will say I have to sit down to fish and my longest rods are 6'6". I'm sure that makes a difference compared to guys standing up and two handed casting with the longer rods. I don't cast for long distance and only try skipping with a spinning rod.

I have 5 of them. I have 2 200B38s, 2 in 5:1 gear ratio, and 1 in 6:1 ratio. I use the 3:8s once in a while. I still use 1 5:1 for crankbaits. The level wind on the other one wore out and quit working so it is a parts reel now. I keep the 6:1 in the boat as a backup in case I have a problem with one of my other reels. I still love them and wish they still made them.

I would have to put some kind of small blanket or tarp over the cage before I moved it. At least if it sprayed it wouldn't be near as bad.

When we have extreme heat around here I bring my tackle box in the house so I don't have to worry about this happening. My boat is stored in the garage but it still gets pretty hot in there.

You picked ice out to be 22 April 2019? I hate to tell you this but you have just missed out on 7 months of fishing. Maybe you medication is causing some strange side effects with you. Hope you get checked out and get well soon.

I don't know of any stations around here that sell E-free gas so I am stuck with E-10 gas. I have used fuel stabilizers and E treatments for many years in my equipment. My Cub Cadet riding mower was built in 1989 and my push mower is probably 15 years old and both of them still start and run good with out any problems or major repairs. I do run all the gas out of them for winter storage. I wonder if a lot of the problems shown in the video were from gas just sitting. If it is being used I don't think it would be that bad.

I use the 3.5" Split Tail Sticko on the Ned Rig either in green pumpkin or watermelon seed. I don't buy Z man products because I don't want to worry about them ending up in the wrong place and causing problems with my other stuff. There are SMB and LMB both in the places I have used it.

O f course the Ned Rig still works. I know because I manage to catch the bottom of the lake and end up breaking off every time I use it. Still haven't figured out how to catch a fish on it.

I watch episodes of Gunsmoke, Bat Masterson, and Have Gun Will Travel. There are a lot of good movies too. I like Last Train From Gun Hill, Quigley Down Under, and Silverado.

I have some of the old Rebel Deep Wee R baits in naturalized crappie color. If you didn't catch fish on that you might as well go home, you weren't going to catch anything. I wish that color was still available.
