^ It's Randy....that explains a lot. Watch (or not in my case) for his next vid where he whines about MLF being unfair.

  5. There's a reason I switched from Dobyns to St Croix.
  6. ^ I would - even weak acids will affect the finish...but just splash some clean water on it and wipe it and you should be good.
  7. ^ This one has Acetic Acid (Vinegar) as one of it's ingredients. Notice a pattern? Mild acid to remove water spots caused by alkaline deposits....
  8. ^ Ducky contains Citric Acid - another mild acid that will remove alkaline deposits.
  9. All depends on the depth I'm fishing. Skinny water (3'-6') I go down to a 1/16oz...then increase the weight as it gets deeper.
  10. ^ Mid to upper 80s through Friday anyway....ya, October starts Wednesday and we're getting July weather.
  11. With me it's the lung cancer that'll beat the prostate...
  12. ^ That'd do it. Limestone in water increases the PH - makes it more alkaline - and that's where the spots come from. Limestone is Calcium-Carbonate. FYI: TUMS is also Calcium-Carbonate - helps reduce stomach acid.
  13. Vinegar - otherwise known as Acetic Acid...just a lot milder acid than hydrochloric.
  14. Europe, N Asia, Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia....there's some debate on whether a small native population was extant in Utah - but the jury is still out on that one. It WAS imported by European settlers into the East Coast.
  15. That's another from Eurasia/Africa/Australia...not native to Bermuda as the name would imply, in fact, they call it 'crabgrass' as it's virulently invasive...pushing out other grass species.
  16. Nope - that's an Australian/Asian 'invader'.
  17. One thing I get a kick out of Lawn grass is NOT native to N.A. It was brought over by the European settlers cause they liked their manicured lawns. So your 'beautiful' lawn is composed of an invasive species. Side note - dandelions are also an invasive species, brought over for their medicinal and culinary uses.
  18. ^ Exactly how I do it. And since I'm only putting on 65-75 yards of mainline, I can get 3 'fills' from a 200yd spool of FC or 2 fills from a 150yd spool of braid.
  19. The star in this conjunction event is Regulus - or Alpha Leonis if you want to get technical.
  20. Not mine - dog of Nora's PCA who seems to have adopted me. Luna loves napping in 'Papa's' bed, even burrowing under the covers. She also occasionally crawls into my lap for 'scritchies'.
  21. My Aird-X that I use for spinners and chatters is rated a Fast, but it's a bit slower than my Mojo or Victory fast rods....I'd actually rate it a MF-F - not slow enough to be a Mod-Fast, but not fast enough to be a true Fast.
