On The Water Etiquette
It's even worse when you're in a canoe. Can't tell you how many times I was almost swamped by a passing wake-boat when I was out. Never had that issue from a pontoon going by.

Dawia fuego ct thumb bar
I'd take it back - I've got two Fuegos and neither has a 'loose' thumb-bar.

Sunline: fluoro damage from backlashing
I don't even do that with braid. Pass through, then back to make the loop for the MK knot I prefer.

Anyone have consistent success with perch colored crankbaits?
What my 'pal' Gim said - bluegill patterned cranks are very productive for LMBs (and Pike) around here.

Question regarding new fish finder
I've seen schools of crappie look like that on my screen.

Question regarding new fish finder
They aren't dense enough (too little red) to be rocks. If you look close, there's a bit of arching off the bottom - slight gap between the 'rock' and the actual bottom on the right side. That says 'fish' to me.

The Tatula CT/Fuego CT and Misconceptions
Old info... The Tatula CT and Fuego CT are basically the same reel. Frame, main gears, spool - all identical. The Tat replaces the standard aperture with the T-Wing, and puts two bearings in the handle-knobs (the two more bearings the Tat has over the Fuego)...that's it, otherwise they're the exact same.

Sunline: fluoro damage from backlashing
That's what I've always understood - FC doesn't have the 'elasticity' that Nylon does...so if it's stretched, it retains the stretch where-as Nylon has some 'forgiveness' and as long as it's not extremely stretched will (mostly) return to it's original profile.

Keeping Your Tackle Storage Rust-Free
Peanut butter - and those are in the 'real' oven. Small jobs (like recharging gel-packs) are done in a dedicated toaster oven...same place I use to cure casting plastic for scale modeling.

Keeping Your Tackle Storage Rust-Free
Ya - they get 'waterlogged' with all the moisture they absorb. Low temp, fair amount of time...they're cheap enough that I just replace them instead of 'recharging' them.
-
Why is it so hard
Na - something better.

Braid to mono leader?
Braid to mono/FC/hybrid Length - what ever you're comfortable with. I usually go 6'-8' when I use them - others go 15'-20' or more. Knot - which ever one you can learn - most popular line/leader knots are Alberto, Albright and FG - I use the FG as it's the one I learned first.

Best baitcasting reel under $100?
I know - I posted in another thread that I finally got a response to the e-mails I'd been sending them for six months. Currently they have no plans to re-introduce any casting reels - the President XT is all we're getting for the foreseeable future.
-
Best baitcasting reel under $100?
That's like me - I can favorably compare my two Fuegos to my two Patriarchs...four best reels I own.

And watch our economy go into the toilet. Fishing has a 3 billion a year impact on the state...and most of those that come here as fishing tourists are after walleye since they're heavily managed here.
