  1. Great article Katie.
  2. Start with a squarebill. Then once you have found the fish switch to a neko rig or shaky head.
  3. Thanks MN Fisher. I’ll keep my eye out for any deals.
  4. Has anyone heard about the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for this year?
  5. Personally, I like to finesse fish more than power fish. Therefore, I use my spinning setup more. However, I do use a bait caster when I power fish. It’s probably a 85% spinning, and 15% bait caster split.
  6. ROFL. That’s hilarious. ?
  7. Definitely not. I don’t watch any of the tournaments. Unlike college football (Go Dawgs),I couldn’t tell you who won a tournament. However, I do watch a few of pros YouTube channels.
  8. MikeL seeing your GTO reminds me of the AMC Rebel that my grandma had. It was fire engine red.
  9. My dad always called it, “three on the tree.” Meaning the gearshift on the steering column.
  10. I bought a down pillow about a year ago, and haven’t regretted it at all. The comfort level is far superior than any other pillow that I’ve had.
  11. For me it’s a Ned rigged coppertreuse trd.
  12. Personally, I like cream of wheat more than oatmeal. But, when I do eat oatmeal, I like the steel cut oatmeal.
  13. I don’t use mono much anymore, except as backing for braid. But, when I did use mono exclusively, I used either suffix or spider wire. Both are inexpensive and good line.
  14. I’m like you Darth-Baiter. All I have to do is go outside, and I instantly become a mosquito buffet. Itching all the bites drives me nuts. I’ve almost ever mosquito repellent on the market and none work for more than 1-2 hours. Sawyers is supposed to work phenomenally, but I haven’t tried it.
  15. I’d start with a search bait, like a jackhammer chatter bait. Then, switch to something slower, like a t-rigged worm or creature bait.
  16. Herbert ultralight lst.
  17. Don’t be afraid to throw a 10-12 inch worm. In the summer even little 2lbrs. will eat big worms.
  18. Carolina rigged twin tail fat albert grub.
  19. Most of the time, I tie a lure on the day before. But, sometimes I’ll tie a lure on a couple days in advance.
  20. I’ve been to Cabelas a numerous times over the past couple months. Every time I go, the fishing section is pretty much completely wiped-out, except for some plastics.
  21. I recently read an article about big worm fishing. In the article, Stacey King, Terry Bolton, and Mike Mclelland each state they use fluorocarbon. They use it because they drag the worm along the bottom. When worm fishing, I use flouro for the same reason. As far as hooks, I only use Gamakatsu and Owners hooks.
  22. I have one tied to my rod right. I t-rigged it with a 1/4 oz. sinker and 4/0 hook.
