  1. OP didn't say he wanted to upgrade. Just a suggestion. Thanks for your input
  2. Take a look at the Gloomis E6 rods. You might be able to find something there.
  3. Why don't you just buy another Gloomis, instead of searching for something comparable
  4. Markley Cove marina was on fire
  5. Topwater, Deps BuzzJet to be specific. This bait works for me year round.
  6. Get one of those metal stringers, with about 7-8 clips on it. Open the hooks and put a weight on the end on. Drop it down and drag it around. Don't be surprised if you don't find it. If a fish did drag it off your boat, chances are it's not in the area you lost it
  7. Gloomis SJR IMX 781. Real light tip, but the rod has a lot of backbone.
  8. A 5.1 is a tremor, wait until you experience one that is 7.0
  9. If you want to read about the early days of bass tournaments and BASS, check out BASS WARS, by Rick Taylor. Lots of insight to Rick Clunn.
  10. Not sure what type of boat you have, but in my Ranger, I put the net in the driver's seat and the handle leans forward against the steering wheel. Out of the way when casting, but easy accessible from both the front and back

  12. If a local shop/store has them, check out the Dobyn's rods Fury series.
  13. The stores can't replace inventory even if they wanted to. The supply chain has been almost completely shut down due to COVID and the problems we're having with China. Manufacturers have cut back to skelton crews, if they are open at all. Best bet to buy tackle now is one of the big online sellers. Or, find an individual who hand pours or can pour heads for you. Good luck
  14. This should answer your questions https://www.minnkotamotors.com/learn/featured-products/raptor
  15. my concern would be the availability of parts a few years from now.
  16. BPS does give you free 2 day shipping. The 2 days start when it leaves BPS, NOT when you order it.
  17. Nothing is going to change until we get over COVID. Work forces are still cut back
  18. As WRB suggested, a call to your insurance company is in order. Two of my friends overpowered their boats and paid insurance for 3-4 years before realizing the insurance company wasn't going to honor any claims because of being overpowered. If you'r thinking they son't know, think again. When/if you file a claim, they will find out. One friend got another outboard, the other one was lucky enough to find someone to buy his boat
  19. Price could be the major downside to rods made in the US
  20. You'll get a lot more responses by asking your question on Western Bass than on here.
  21. River@Sea redesigned the 90 because of it's inherent problems and came out with the 75. The 75 is a much better design. The 90 was the only size that had problems
