  1. Get one of these. https://www.consolevault.com
  2. It will be fine for bass, but you won't be able to move it fast enough to catch shad. A throw net is best for shad
  3. I finally got around to painting a Whopper Plopper KO. One of my friends stopped by and saw it. He kiddingly said it would make a nice Christmas present for him. He gave me an idea. Not only will he get one, but so will several of my fishing friends.
  4. https://www.ebay.com/itm/HINKLE-SHAD-FISHING-LURE-BAIT-RARE-COLLECTIBLE-F-S-HOBBY-NEVER-USED-PIZZ-CUSTOM/143260951743?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20160323102634%26meid%3D24627fa5b5b2466794e38c1dbaa2d7b1%26pid%3D100623%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D323862216185%26itm%3D143260951743%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1

  6. GLoomis IMX 781 is a great rod. Discontinued but you can find them
  7. Chem Dry has worked for me. It comes in a spray can that looks like a fire extinguisher.
  8. The best way to keep someone from stealing something is to not leave it in your boat. Take off your electronics and don't keep a lot of tackle in the lockers. Leave the lockers unlocked. If you lock them, they will break them open, not knowing nothing is inside. Safety bars across your locker lids can easily be taken off with a crow bar and will do considerable damage to your boat.
  9. Take a look at the Depps Buzzjet. You can find them on eBay for under $20 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Deps_Buzzjet_Wakebait/descpage-DBJ.html
  10. Probably as simple as going to where the money is.
  11. Are there any Vexus dealers on the west coast?
  12. I have an old book, BASS WARS, a Story of FISHING FAME & FORTUNE. It tells the story of being a tournament fisherman. Thins have changed since this book came out but it's interesting to see what was happening in the beginning
  13. My finesse outfit is a GLoomis IMX 781 spinning rod with a Shimano Stradic Ci4 spanning reel with Daiwa Samurai 15# braid and a 6' leader of Vicious Pro Elite 4# fluorocarbon.
  14. Use a small drill bit and twist it by hand as you put it in. Might have to do it a few times.
  15. That will probably cost more than the $250 he paid for the motor.
  16. You're right, I didn't see the prop at the rear when I first looked at it
  17. It looks like an Arbogast Jitterbug XL, under $10 new
  18. You can try taking off the trebles and using a siwash hook on the rear hanger. Lot less chance of hanging up and you will still hook your fish
  19. Single tail when fishing just the grub on a head, double tail when fishing it on a jig
  20. It's not just corrosion. Oxidation can prevent a good connection too. Make sure everything is shiny.
  21. If you fish brackish water, you can eliminate the Ghost. Using it in brackish water will void the warranty. Lowrance describes brackish water as fresh water meeting salt water.
  22. My Merc did the same thing, it would go down but not up. At first I thought it might be the switch, but it did the same with all the switches. It turned out one of the wires had come off and I didn't notice it. I know you took you wires off and put the m back on. Take them off again and clean the posts and connectors. You might not be getting a good connection
  23. If that's the case, wouldn't you still need a place to store the lid when you're using it? You sure can't use it when it's sticking up
  24. Depending on the make of trolling motor, the foot pedal looks like it can be below the deck. This is a poor design if the lid isn't easily detachable. Even then, where do you store it?
  25. Go to this shop. They have EVERYTHING. https://www.histacklebox.com
