I finally got around to painting a Whopper Plopper KO. One of my friends stopped by and saw it. He kiddingly said it would make a nice Christmas present for him. He gave me an idea. Not only will he get one, but so will several of my fishing friends.

The best way to keep someone from stealing something is to not leave it in your boat. Take off your electronics and don't keep a lot of tackle in the lockers. Leave the lockers unlocked. If you lock them, they will break them open, not knowing nothing is inside. Safety bars across your locker lids can easily be taken off with a crow bar and will do considerable damage to your boat.

You can try taking off the trebles and using a siwash hook on the rear hanger. Lot less chance of hanging up and you will still hook your fish

It's not just corrosion. Oxidation can prevent a good connection too. Make sure everything is shiny.

If you fish brackish water, you can eliminate the Ghost. Using it in brackish water will void the warranty. Lowrance describes brackish water as fresh water meeting salt water.

You might not be getting a good connection

Depending on the make of trolling motor, the foot pedal looks like it can be below the deck. This is a poor design if the lid isn't easily detachable. Even then, where do you store it?
