Dobyns Fury (663SF/703SF) questions!
I own the 7’ medium fury (fr703) and would say it fishes about right for a medium power. I primarily use this rod for senkos, small keitech and light Texas rigs

Dobyns Fury or Fenwick HMG (spinning)
Fury hands down

Shimano Nasci
I have a 2500 been using it for a season mainly fishing senkos. No complaints here

Van Staal Spinning Reel?
I own a van stall 250 I use and is a necessity at certain times for me surf fishing bluefish and striped bass (reel being splashed and dunked with water and sand). It is prob one of the worst reels I’d consider to use for bass fishing.

How to set the drag on a spinning reel?
I Set the drag by feel. Pull on line and adjust drag accordingly. Never used a scaled ever and I can say I’ve never lost a bass due to drag being too tight or too loose

Line for dropshot rod? Want to change what I'm using.
6lb trilene xl. Deep water id probably run a light braid/leader
-
What line on avid x 68 mxf?
I normally run 6-8lb mono for those techniques and sometimes braid if I’m fishing around a lot of grass. But since you don’t like mono I’d try a 10-15lb braid with leader

Ned Rod Needs A Reel
I have a nasci 2500 on my fury 703. Broke my Stradic which was on my 702 and I picked up a $30 Shimano sienna to use for the time being and I haven’t taken it off the rod in a year and a half. Great budget reel

I’ve always used 15lb mono for spinnerbaits
-

Working to Stay Lean ~
Anyone here do mainly all body weight trainiing? I’ve been lifting for a few years but due to lower back, shoulder and most recently neck pain I am thinking of switching it up and focusing on all body weight movements. Squats lunges, pushups pull-ups core work, etc

Versatile Rods for Inshore Coastal Fishing?
St croix tidemaster TIS76MHF or the TIS76HF if you plan On throwing 2-2 1/2oz often. I prefer the MHF for the 1/2-1 1/2oz lures I throw for stripers, blues and false albacore. And go with a bg 3000. I would put a 4000 Bg on a 9’ rod or a real heavy 8’er The daiwa bg 4000 series runs larger than other companies 4000 series reels.

Hollow Body Frog Set Up
I fish this exact setup except my reel is a 7:1. It’s also a great jig rod. Highly recommend this rod and reel

Texas Rig Rods?! Medium vs MH
i prefer a medium as well as long as i'm not fishing too heavy of cover. i fish with a lot of 1/8 and 3/16oz weights with small compact baits and the medium allows me to cast these baits much easier than an MH. if you are talking jig fishing though with standard 3/8 and 1/2oz jigs ignore what i said and fish an MH or H

Baby Brush Hogs?
Fish them all the time. One of my favorite creature baits. One of my largest bass I’ve ever caught was caught on a green pumpkin baby brush hog

which rod should I buy for light hair jigs, 3/16 to 1/4 oz.
The st Croix you show in the picture is the mojo inshore, not a bass rod which is why the butt is longer. As for the Dobyns fury I own both the medium (fr703) and medium light (702) 7’ spinning rods and I would personally buy the medium for the weights you want to fish especially the 1/4oz. The medium light imo is too light to comfortably fish a 1/4oz jig. My 702 is primarily used for 1/16 and 1/8oz jigs

Winter Topwater
I’ve caught fish on spooks with water in the 40s. The fish were feeding on golden shiners
