  1. 10mm in my Glock 20 and 300 BLK in my 10.5" AR with a long shot being 125 yards in my wooded clubs. If they clear cut I just set up my shooting table in the bed of my truck and break out the 300 Win Mag.
  2. Always carry. No exceptions. If it's illegal I simply don't go. Here's the story that taught me to ALWAYS CARRY. Bow fishing Lake Eufaula, Georgia side one night many years ago with a friend of mine. About 3 am we hear a man hollering and out of the darkness appears a man with a rifle(Marlin model 60) running down the dock we were going around to get back close to the bank. Screaming at us about being there the last 4 or 5 nights in a row. I apologized to him for waking him and explained that we had just arrived at the lake that day. Now my Yamaha generator only puts out around 63 decibels which is quiet and my lights were of course pointed at the water so we could see fish, so I ask him how we woke him up. He claimed my lights were shining in his windows. So I ask if that's the case why can we not even see your house that turned out to be over 100 yards off the water and uphill. During this time he never pointed the rifle at us but keep threatening to call the Sheriff. After 10 minutes I'd had enough of trying verbal judo and told him you call the Sheriff and I'll call the DNR because what we're doing is 100% legal. He folded and headed back in the house. My Kimber Custom 45 was safely and uselessly in my dry box while this man was standing over us with a rifle. Never happen again. I'll dry it and clean my always carry gun if I fall in.
  3. I used to shoot the Hard Rock match in Opelika Alabama monthly. It was 5 shots at 600, 800, 900, & 1000 yards. Grew tired of the drive, time spent reloading, and practicing a full off day(weekly), combine that with working 60 - 90 hours I didn't have enough time to fish. I have a 300 yard range in my cow pasture to get my fix on my time in between fishing trips.
  4. Daily carry is a S & W Shield at 4:30 with a spare extended mag (horizontal) at 10 o'clock, backup is my LCP 2 in my back left pocket with a spare mag in my jeans key pocket right above my CRKT blade. My go to town carry is my Glock 20 loaded with sixteen 180 XTP's with a spare mag at 8 o'clock and 4 spare mags in the truck console. My go to the mail box/dog outside is a Keltec P - 32. In the house my Glock 30 Gen 4 with extended mag is always and I mean always withing reach. My safety and anybody with me is my responsibility. I've had to discharge my daily carry to prevent injury or possibly death. The once every 5 years you could catch me unarmed is while renewing my carry license in the courthouse and that's maybe 15 minutes.
  5. These two claimed they were just gonna borrow it. I didn't believe them. I hate thieves. ?
  6. A pic for our fishermen that like to run WOT at night. Almost hit it last summer on a very dark night floating in the middle of the lake. Towed it to a public dock and properly tied it up.
  7. Kate Vogel - Hallelujah Disturbed - The Sound of Silence Garth Brooks- The Dance
  8. Man you're out of control.? Nice.
  9. Spark Shad & Z -Man Slim Swimz have been great producers for me. Keitech does work but I grew tired of putting on a new bait after every fish.
  10. I couldn't surf BR and pacify the Monkey. So now I have a Curado 70 MGL HG and a Shimano Zodias 7'2" Medium Moderate Fast coming. Glad the sites back up cause the LiveScope would be nice with my Garmin.
  11. Wader in my fishing hole. He won't hit a buzzbait.
  12. Very nice. Mine is a bit different. I take to 300 often and 500 yards occasionally. It'll hold 6 to 8 inches at 400 on a very calm day. At 500 it's really like artillery with the trajectory. I built it because shooting 100 - 120 rounds of 308 Win to practice for comps every Saturday was breaking me even reloading myself. She's a bit heavy with her 1 & 1/16 " barrel that I actually threaded into the action. I glassed the action and worked the trigger down to a safe 3 ounces. With Aguila 60 grain SSS she's a quieter than an acorn falling in wet leaves.
  13. Two sighters and four 10 round groups at 75 yards with my 22 lr.
  14. Long cast with a topwater lure and a big striper eats it. Or better yet one of our big flatheads grabs your Ned. That would be the thoughts rattling around in my noggin while fishing. No thanks. If I had a problem tying knots I'd find another addiction. All my reels gets a few feet of mono (with a knot) prior to spooling braid.
  15. My little monster
  16. These girls were no help laying sod. But I miss them every day.
  17. This is a fishing forum so we need a weight on her.? Congratulations Grandpa.
  18. I went with .125 aluminum. Last forever.
  19. Had to let the top down.
  20. Anybody missing a puppy?
  21. If anybody has any connections with anybody on the ship and A-Jay will let me put my boat on his front deck to get us across the ocean. My little boat can make it in and out of that canal, easily. Let's make this happen before the Firecraw bite is gone.
  22. I'd go fish. Not suggesting it. But I would.
  23. Only removed if parked outside on a trip.
  24. Seaguar Red Label from 6 - 25 lb for my leaders has worked perfectly. Looked at the Gold with it being thinner, but I keep hearing/reading about break offs. I can't remeber breaking off with Red Label unless I straight pulled on a snag.
