What is your fishing vehicle ?
If you let the back seat up you can lay the rods across the center console with handles under the left rear seat and most likely get 8' rods in there. That works in my Chevrolet but is no good if you have a passenger that wants to ride up front. They can always ride in the right rear seat.?

Good Largemouth lures recommendations
Trick worm, Fluke, and Senko are three that consistently produce for me. The Ned Rig is a good lure also.

Is anyone else getting tired of the Squad?
Watched a couple of the googan videos and that was enough.

MEGADOG
Yes I've fished it 8 - 10 trips. Caught a few schooling LM, stripers, and hybrids. It cast great flying tail first. Walking it is very easy and the hooks are good. I've thrown it on 65 lb braid and 25 lb CXX and it performs fine on either with no fouling on the front hook. You will need a swimbait rod and a reel that'll hold enough line.

Handline fishing
I used to but my doctor made me stop. Handlining buzz baits will wear out your shoulders.?

summer fishing is making it hard
Go in the middle of the night and fish 13' and shallower.

Do you prefer to fish alone??
I enjoy both also. I fish once a week with a friend that just wants to catch bass. When I go alone I'm slinging big swimbaits and that's definitely not a number producing technique.

bad day
Goodluck retrieving your reel and I hope your uncle is ok. Ten bad trips can be easily forgotten by one tremendous day. I myself had a great day being the net man for my partner. I caught one while he caught 11 and I'm good with that. I joke and tell him I've got more fishing days left because he's 10 years older

Anybody Ever Get Caught Without Their License?
I buy a 2 year Sportsman license. It covers everything but the Federal Duck stamp & Alligator tag. Set the alarm in my phone calendar one week prior to the expiration date.

Line Diameter when taking Line Abrasion into Consideration
I fish braid to 6lb to 25lb fluorocarbon depending on conditions. Open water light line. Rocks get 17lb and up.

Bait caster choice
Not a Daiwa guy. Love my Shimanos. But if I'm flipping or throwing frogs with heavy braid I'm using my Revos. The 65 lb braid and strong drag helps stop them from running under the pads/weeds/trees. Revo toro beast is too much reel unless you're throwing big baits. I agee with BassWhole! that 10 lbs of drag for stripers is plenty. Just saw your last post. Goodluck with your Tatula. Lots of guys use and like them.

NEW BEST FRIEND
I haven't got into the hard bluegill baits. The bass I chase have a strong preference for shad and blueback herring.

I Bought A Lady President And I'm Not A Lady
I'd make it my loaner reel for my rodless buddies and get pictures. They'll have their own by the next trip.

Time to upgrade
Curado 200k or Curado 70 will likely be a noticeable upgrade.

[HELP] So while cleaning my Curado...
I use small neddle nose pliers. One side of the pliers on the center of the E-clip and the other on the other side of the rod/pin I'm putting it on. Just squeeze. Offers more control than trying to push it on. Hope that makes sense. I remove them with a pick while covering escape with my finger.

Tips to catch larger fish in private pond?
I'd throw a popping frog. Walk it and pop it. It'll pull big girls. I would also start keeping and eating those dinks .

Rod/reel overboard
No. What exactly disturbed you sir? ?

Ashamed to say...
I've caught fish on every lure in my arsenal except my swim jigs. I've tried all weights, trailers, speeds, lines, etc. Not giving up.
