If you are looking for versatility then I believe braid would be best. That way you can vary what # fluorocarbon leader you want to try.

Any time I consider it, I look in my wallet to see if I am mad at some money. So far I haven’t been.

Where are you located? Are you the original owner? Has it always run like this?

In that price range you could have DVT build you one. I have several rods that I have used for shaky. Some I considered to be very good until I had a custom rod built. It is so much better than any of the others that I have commissioned another rod just like it.

I don’t know about them but have a bunch of molds. What are you wanting?

It would take me 6 bucks to drive to the nearest place that can spool line. My wife does a great job of holding the spool and putting on the tension that I need, no charge, no gas used.

When do I throw a jig with rattles…never.

The last time I was on the Tackle Warehouse site they listed Boss spinner baits though they are painted.

Well I am kind of in the middle not north or south. Before the deep freeze we were catching them on jigs (the Jewel Pee Wee Bass Whacker in 7/16 with a 4” Yamamoto twin tail grub in watermelon/red was good) and the Ned rig which was best. They were on or near rocks..

IB Raul used to drive me nuts with all of the big fish that he took for granted while those of us North struggled for smaller fish. I was so jealous.

Think quality and skill level more than rod type for strike detection.

I’ve been on here a long time. I post less and less because I have all of the equipment that I will ever use and don’t keep up with the latest and greatest out there as well as all of the redundant posts that have been answered hundreds of times.

Just curious. Do you guys call a Colorado and willow tandem? Here we call all of them tandem and differentiate by naming the blades.

I use my Curado DCs for jigs mainly and in fairly clear water with lots of rocks. They are always spooled up with fluorocarbon line.

Those are wood borer larvae.

We can have 3 hooks. I use blades for the other two.

I got one a few days ago and have been getting familiar with it. I typically use 15# braid with 10 or 12# fluorocarbon leaders. I normally do 16 wraps on each side. With the tool do you do the same wraps as you did without it? After you do the half hitch with the leader, do you tighten the knot like before the tool? How many half hitches do you put on? Do you use a risotto finish? As a side note I have had 5 hand surgeries and keep losing the leader so I made a tool to hold it. So far it is working.

I imagine that it will be along later.

I would do the hot water then lay them out on a towel to cool and dry. I cannot in-vision any thing good with an iron and plastisol.

Anyone know anything about them?
