Road To The Superbowl 2025
No talk of the Saints demolishing teams averaging 45 per game ???? Oh wait !!! They played the Panthers and Cowboys.....my bad 😁

Do you bother throwing topwater at all on sunny days, even when there are mixed clouds and sun?
Every year is different. 2 years ago the WP 90 accounted for most top water fish. Last year the Devil's Horse. This year a top water jerkbait. Would be nice if bass were predictable 😄 I mainly throw top water early and late.

The Months of Maine
My observation is more about water temps vs seasons. Water temps climb above 50* " usually early April " , we start hooking good fish. Water temps in the 60's is quality fish and numerous fish. Water temps that are rising into the 70's is surprisingly better than water temps that are rapidly falling into the 70's. 80* + is slow here. Our summer here in the mountains of Western VA ended abruptly about 2 weeks ago with lows in the upper 40's and highs upper 60's lower 70's..... crazy. Surface temps are already low 70's so looking forward to October fishing. Stay safe.

Tua got his guaranteed money so I'll say he's done. Also heard a report that he had a few concussions before the NFL.

Fishing pressure
We have this one particular lake " electric only " that produced many 8lb + bass. Word got out and the lake started getting pounded. It's only 117 acres and easily accessible so 20+ boats per day was common and with many night fisherman. This all started 20 years ago and now the lake is referred to as 1 fish Frederick. The lake your referring to sounds very unpressured, enjoy.

I want to brag on myself for a sec..
If I didn't throw a wacky rig or drop-shot, eliminate 75% of the fish I've caught the last 3 years. My power fishing partner no longer sends me a Christmas card 😂, he despises it.

Latest Catch Pics Thread
I've heard some members claim that September can be slow fishing. It was today, only caught 3 in 4 hours of fishing. My partner caught this blue cat on a spinnerbait.

X. Worthy 😳 That kid is fast. If Baltimore can fix the O-line they'll be fine. Oh, 2 good games to start the year. Barkley is the leading vote getter for MVP. 😂

Losing fish on a short rod
I've used a 6'4 UL rod for Neds and dropshot for years without issue...... always pinned in the top of the mouth. 15# braid to 8# flouro leader. 5'4 rod seems short. Imo Less rod length = less available arc during the fight, keeping the hook pinned.

Nothing gorge-ous about that wind....
Meteorologists have the easiest jobs, stress free. They consistently miss the forecast and get paid regardless. 😁 Due to the gin clear water that I fish, wind can be an issue. To put fish in the boat consistently it's mostly done with a finesse technique. Lighter weight is more negatively influenced by wind. A big arc in the line almost eliminates sensitivity. Another words...... give me glass water.

Road To The Superbowl 2025
I picked the Ravens vs Niners last year for SB........ yes I forgot about Mahomes. But I'm picking Ravens Niners again, especially if Joe can work his magic in Burrowhead and eliminate Chiefs. My one prediction that I'm very confident about is.......Dak lays an egg in the playoffs.

Definition of a ultra light
I only own one rod that is rated UL and is used for panfish/ Crappie, 4lb sunline sniper. Hooking the occasional bass is a blast.

Flat tire jack question
Yes, place the jack under the axle as close to the wheel as possible.

Thick tall grass
If your in a boat nothing beats running a spinnerbait parallel to the thick grass line or a keitech swimbait. Imo

Dealing with rowers.
Yes. There's a small lake that I love fishing, only 110 acres. They do rowing classes there, like 50 of those 60 foot shells " think that's what they call them " and 8 people on board. This goes on for hours and a guy screaming instructions on a loud speaker non stop. I had to vacate the lake because of the commotion even though the fishing was very good that morning. I'm not crazy about a 60ft vessel that travels backwards blindedly.

Tried and true, or something new(?)
Tried and true mainly but there is that rare occasion where a particular bait that I'd deem " tried and true " completely shuts down, dead, nothing. This forces me to try and replicate it's past production with something else.
