  1. Cotton candy without chartreuse.
  2. Wow ? I certainly understand the draw us fisherman have to the water but not to the detrimental effects on our health. Look for a better jet stream which is suppose to arrive tomorrow, so I hear.
  3. I only drink fine tequila and my least favorite is Patron, overrated. 1800 far better for the money but Asombroso the very best.
  4. Ole wives tales still in existence. Lol Back in the 70's I knew fisherman that sprayed their plastic worms with the stuff as an attractant......... that's if they didn't chew tobacco ?
  5. Heck I'm straight braid on everything moving, go for it.
  6. Welcome to Bass Resources
  7. We must be on the line. One minute it's hazy and smells like a campfire and the next minute, clear bluebird skies......north western VA.
  8. Have always added nail weights to the nose of flukes, assassins and caffeine shad when I wanted them to run deeper.
  9. That is definitely a beautiful place and would draw me in again and again. I fish this one reservoir that is slam full of cover, lay downs through out the entire lake. Have never caught a fish over 13" and catching 5 in a day is a chore. It's 104 acres, receives very little pressure and is not far from the house. I may go back again. Idk
  10. I doubt it'll have any effect on fish but will effect people with breathing disabilities. It's also having an effect on the livelihood of those in Canada being evacuated from their homes. Heck I'm way down here in VA and see the haze and smell the fires. Prayers for those effected.

Once spawn has come to an end, nothing beats a worm. The water here is very clear so prefer something finesse. Drop-shot robo worms, Jackall flickShake, zoom finesse mojo and really wouldn't need to throw anything else.
  12. Wife and I have been RVing for 30 years and it is indeed a money pit and gas mileage dragging these things are in the single digits ?. BUT just like Bass boats, you gotta pay if you wanna play.
  13. I've never left plastic on over the cork handle, kinda defeats the purpose. Imo
  14. Fished a new lake today for largemouth and caught mostly Smallmouth. Lol Water temp 68* Largemouth were caught on Jackall flickShake GP candy. Smallmouth were caught on 1/8 Shakyhead/Zoom speed craw.
  15. Before I needed prescription polarized sunglasses, always went with amber lenses. That's what I'd recommend for low light. I now carry 2 pairs of polarized sunglasses for bright and cloudy.
  16. Always used a Med rod on spinning. Flukes skip better than most baits, why I like spinning reels for throwing flukes/bass assassins.
  17. About a foot as well, except for Drop-shot and Mojo.
  18. Wife and I take week long trips to various lakes with the bass boat several times a year. I've been amazed at the battery life on the 24 volt trolling motor " 70 lb motor guide" . We recently fished 7 days in a row for 6 hrs per day and the trolling motor felt strong at the end of the week. This particular trolling motor doesn't have a battery life indicator so was curious how long I could go without a charge.
  19. This may be very unsettling to the OP but I do better with Drop-shot and Jackall flickShake for finesse fishing........my apologies ?
  20. Make sure you have the motor trimmed level.
  21. Probably Lowe or Tracker.
  22. You'll save money going with an aluminum hull and many prefer it. I bought a Lowe Stinger and installed my own graphs, money saved. And you'll likely never need to go 70 mph so why pay 25k for a Yamaha 250. ?
  23. Went out Saturday with the wife and the wind wouldn't allow me to fish at all. My job was to keep the boat straight while the wife casted 20 yards above where she wanted the bait to land. She caught fish so wasn't all bad.
  24. Years ago my doctor told me to drink a glass of red wine every evening, I've kept him as my doctor ever since.
  25. Just keep it simple. Marine starting battery for starting. Marine deep cycle for trolling motor.
